A Common Question At My Studio

One of the most common questions we get at the studio during a medium reading is “How do I know if my loved one is still around?”

Signs can often appear in many forms…you just have to be paying attention. Signs may appear as feathers, songs, dreams, scents, synchronicities, electrical disturbances or even “just a feeling”.

For many of us, signs from spirit don’t arrive with flashing lights, or dramatic moments. More often than not, they appear quietly…woven into your life.

You may hear a song that instantly reminds you of them at exactly the moment you needed comfort.

Have you ever just been cleaning your house and you catch a scent of cigar, or pipe? And you don’t smoke! A feather may appear in an unusual place.

A butterfly lands on you and lingers…you wake from a vivid dream feeling as though you truly spent time together…may you see numbers repeating everywhere.

While not every coincidence is necessarily a message or a sign, many people find comfort in remaining open to the possibility that love continues beyond physical death.

The bonds we share with those we truly love are powerful and perhaps one of the most beautiful thoughts of all is that love doesn’t simply disappear. Sometimes it leaves fingerprints.

When we were deciding to buy our home. We we carefully weighing options. We sat outside the property. I asked out loud – “is this place really meant for us?”

A single butterfly came and landed on my arm…and it literally stayed there for what felt like forever. I watched it with awe and wonder. My mother passed 4 years ago, but she had a butterfly obsession. So, I took that as a sign, it was meant for us and she was trying to tell me so.

My Dad left pennies around! He always dropped change from his pockets and kept doing it for years after he passed! So we had Pennies from Heaven, basically!

Such a great question ! I’ve had so many signs from loved ones that I am comforted and confident that they are still around me in spirit form. Like when I turn on the radio and the first song I hear is my deceased aunt’s favorite song from 2010 ( so its not really current ) Or when I smell my late grandmother’s perfum in my car that she never rode in. Or cigar smoke from my father-in-law when no one has smoked a cigar in my home. My most convincing experience happened months after my grandfather died. I had come home from work, watched an episode of the Montel Williams show featuring psychic Sylvia Browne who explained that loved ones often leave coins. Out loud I said " PaPa instead of sending me coins, I’d prefer a dollar bill." After the show. I went back out the same door that I had entered an hour earlier and there was a dollar bill stuck on my welcome mat, flapping in the breeze. I laughed and cried at the same time and thanked my PaPa for the gift and for being with me. ☆

Yes. It’s true. My cousin passed in a very tragic manner and it affected me badly. But I managed to grow with the acceptance. It’s the only way that I could let him come all the way in. Anger would only shut his door to me, in my mind. So I accepted it and he visits me as a dragon fly. But in swarms. Like it’s very unbelievable how many dragon flys there were last year. It’s really hot and humid where I live, so sometimes even the animals in their natural habitats, who loves the sun and the heat, sometimes it’s just too hot even for them. I’m telling ya. If you are outside on a hot Louisiana day, mowing your lawn, and some ground hornets feel the vibrations of your mower, shaking up their tunnels, they will come out in swarms from the ground and will sting + bite you repeatedly. It’s so hot out here, even the bugs are moving underground and is just as p.o. as the next person, who is not at a water park ..
