Im currently a solitary baby witch. I started independently learning and practicing in 2024. I love crystals, the moon, and deepening my psycic ability.
I have inadvertently found a few other solitary baby witches but am looking for someone to help guide me where I need to go.
With where I live, and what I do for a living, its hard to be fully out of the broom closet. My husband and kids support me, but my husbands family pretty much acts like me and my kids dont exist. Im not sure if they just dont like who i am, or they dont like that i dont follow their beliefs
.
I have recently found out my grandmother has some psycic abilities but she didnt go into too much detail.
My sister also practices a little but she lives in a whole other time zone.
Ive never said anything to my parents, but they know I like my crystals and rocks and theyve seen my altar a couple times over the years but have never said anything to me.
However, wicca has been huge with getting back to myself. I lost myself, and my purpose for many years. Now I feel like I have found where Im supposed to be. I would just like to be able to practice with, share, and learn with other people.

Sorry to hear about how your husband’s family treats you, but it sounds like you’ve been able to find some fellow magick users both where you are and also here. That’s awesome! I’ll also second what Georgia said about being welcome here. You’re among many fellow magick lovers in this space, so please be at home here 
May I ask if there is a particular area of magick that you are looking for guidance in? While there isn’t a formal mentor-tutor program here, the coven community is a great place to share wisdom, ask questions, and chat about magick with friends who walk many diverse paths. There is also a Magickal Study Buddies space where you might connect with those studying the same areas you’re interested in. I hope you’re able to find the guidance you’re looking for!

Urgh. I’m sorry. I’m thinking if they’re that judgmental, you’re probably better off without them. If it wasn’t your religion, it would be how you dress. Or even worse, vote.
Hey, that’s a good sign, though. I was lucky, my Mom got me my first witchy book. So she knew from the start.
Let us know if there’s anything you need help with or have any questions about. Someone will pop up and give you a hand. Or several someones, if you’re lucky. I always like getting varied answers to any questions. That way I can figure out what’s best for me. Good luck!

Hi, thank you for sharing your feelings. I have a sense that your parents will know as they have seen your altar and they may be waiting for you to tell them, if your Grandmother has mentioned her experiences then your parents would have been aware and will have put two and two together. If you feel comfortable I think it will help if you could to talk to them. You have a lovely Husband and children who love and support you. We cannot always get on with every family member it is natural just keep being you and support your Husband in his relationship with his parents that is all you can do.

Thats what’s up. I’m a solitary witch too. I wouldn’t say “baby” witch but I’m not advanced either. I am.. just riding the witchy wave. I learn something new every single day!
And about your in laws, they suck.. just saying. Not trying to be ugly but .. they suck..
Im not saying I know all the tricks of the trade, I don’t think anyone really does, but you’re in the right place if you’re looking to learn from others!
So, what type of magick do you like to practice, or are looking to practice?
Have you researched your ancestry?
I also learned recently that apparently your birth chart can tell you if youre meant to be a practitioner or not. I use Astroseek. It’s free. It’s detailed, and it’s amazing. 
Just paste your birth chart into chat gpt an it tells you if you’re cosmically in tune with practicing

That is lovely some of the divinations you get drawn to and some you can just come across, some you will love and some you might feel are not quite you. I was the same and still are I am learning and discovering new ones. Have fun in exploring your path.

Have you come across the monthly tarot draw discussion yet? It is a space where those studying the cards can come together to read, practice, and share support with one another. There is also a monthly lenormand and oracle room as well.
