Advice needed…

So I’m new to this witch world and nobody from my family knows about it, they 100% against it but that’s not my concern. My problem is I be having a hard time finding a quiet/secret place to cast my spells , I try to go outside to a park or something but sometimes there is someone walking by or something (also it’s cold now ) which makes me uncomfortable. I love being 100% alone with no disturb…… also sometimes when I’m alone I feel anxious or scared (Is that normal for beginners??)(Any advice???)
I also read that you don’t need anything to cast a spell , so I was thinking to just use my Altar here as start , until i figure something out so I don’t stress about it , (would that work ?? , Is my spells still gonna work or I do need the items ???)

We do have a virtual altar here that you can use. You don’t need any tools for spellcasting. It is all in your intention. As long as you cast your spell with all your intentions set solely on it, you should have no problem.

Another thing is cast and forget. Once you have completed your spell, don’t stress or worry about it. You have done your part and now it’s time for the spell to do it’s work.

I hope I have helped you some!

Yes thank you so much . That gives me so much peace, I didn’t want to worry about the location and items at the moment, I want to get into the feeling of it and trust . I just didn’t know if that statement it’s real or not . Thank you for confirming

You are very welcome! Glad I could be of assistance! Take things slow. I understand the overwhelming feelings of being a “closet witch” and trying to learn all the new fun and interesting things. Try and concentrate on learning one thing at a time. Lol I know that is hard to do. I’ve been practicing most my life and I need to learn to practice what I preach. Lol I have 3 different aspects of the craft I’m studying right now !:rofl::rofl:

It’s just too interesting to focus on one thing but I’m trying trust me , I tell that to myself everyday :joy::rofl:. I try to learn so much in one day but then I end up doing all that all day. :joy::joy:

I am the exact same way! So I get it. My ADHD and OCD are constantly in battle when it comes to learning new aspects of the craft.:rofl::rofl:

Different witches have their own unique practices and what works for one might not work as well for someone else. I’d encourage you to experiment! There’s nothing to lose with trying to practice with ingredients and without ingredients. You’ll find what works best for you

I personally believe it is possible to cast without physical tools. Like Mystique mentioned, you can use a virtual altar. Here is a link to the one she mentioned:

You can also develop your own Inner Temple. It’s your own sacred space inside you where you can summon anything you need for your spell through the power of visualization. Here’s a bit more about making your Inner Temple:

Whatever you choose to do, I hope you can find a safe and comfortable way to cast your spells. Good luck and blessed be! :sparkles:

Yes, it is normal. Some of what you are feeling is the leftovers of the practices you are leaving behind. Be gentle with yourself. It will fade in time.

Some of us do spells in the bathroom, when we need privacy. It’s OK to do what you can where you can.

Remember that no one can read your mind. You can simply close your eyes, take a deep breath or three, and silently focus on your wish or intention at any time of day, anywhere you are. Think of an intention while stirring your cooking. Make a wish as you blow on a spoonful of hot cocoa, tea, or coffee or blow out any candle. Think about the correspondences of the spice you throw into your soup. Repeat to yourself an affirmation while you’re testing the heat of the bath water or washing your hands or even with every step you take down a hall at work. Imagine the movement of light or energy in your body while you prepare to sleep. No one else needs to know.

@AngelicVillain magic is clearly your intention!
tools are not necessary at all
they simply help to concentrate on what you are doing

Hello!! I’ve been at this a long time, and I will share that the MOST IMPORTANT part of any spell is the INTENTION and your FAITH/BELIEF that your spell will manifest in your life. But remember this important thing that many new witches aren’t told or know - a spell (even a terrific one with lots of “things”) will not produce any results if you do not do the work! For example, a weight loss spell will not result in weight loss if you do not also do what you need to. For spells like these, I think of the magic as the motivation to change my behavior (and since I am Wiccan I also look at them as a “contract” with the Divine). For these spells, I typically work them into my daily meditation/ritual work. I see the use of candles, herbs, oils, etc… as part of the work to help me increase my motivation. The effort I put into planning and collecting spell components is part of the magic of my will being aligned with my magic. Sorry this answer was long! Spells can be tricky… but they can be done anywhere at anytime… And please feel free to message me if you have any questions! I am always happy to help others with their path–especially in reminding all new witches that if it feels right for you, it is! Blessed be!

What kind of work needs to be put in after a love spell?

If you do not have all of the tools, I promise that your INTENTION is enough. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Well, think of how you would welcome love into your life without magic. What might you do?

If you’re looking for a specific type of partner then it would be wise to put yourself into situations to find that type of person. If you want to avoid a specific type of person the same rule applies - avoid those types of situations. You have to put yourself out there to meet someone to love, right? So, you can’t expect to sit at home and wait for love to come to you. It requires work - socialization, confidence, self-love, etc. This is the same type of work that would be put in after you do a love spell. You can do all the spells in the world but if you don’t put yourself in a position for the spell to work then you’re actively working against your own magic.

But what if it’s about an old lover returning, not a new one type of spell , or a spell for them to reach out :eyes:

The same concept still applies, except maybe for your last spell type. Does this person have a way to contact you? Do you have mutual friends that could pass along a message? Do they even want to come back to you? Are you putting yourself in a position to be receptive to the lover coming back?

These are all important questions to keep in mind for a spell like that.
