Aloe Vera in Spells?

Hi everyone, so i have been meaning to ask for sometime but it keeps slipping my mind, What can i use Aloe Vera for? I heard of creams for skins but what about Spells? Here at my new p lace there is heaps of it both backyard and front yard and hubby wanted to pull them out but i didn’t let him. Also be good to know the properties of the plant too

Here’s some information on Aloe Vera from the Green Witch course on the site. Hope it helps you!

Hi @TheMuslimWitch,

Amethyst has you covered with the Aloe Vera page on the site - there are a few spells there including the beauty spell and the DIY hand sanitizer :+1:

Additionally, if we look at the general correspondences of Aloe Vera…

From Spells8: Aloe Vera Green Magick

It looks like it would be a good ingredient to include in any Water Elemental Spells, offerings/devotionals to the Goddess Venus and the Goddess Aphrodite, and spells that invoke the Divine Feminine.

I personally use aloe vera to heal from sunburns, so I also associate it with protection, healing, and the Sun.

That’s a blessing! I hope you can find some fun ways to use your aloe vera. As a friendly tip, when you’re cleaning out the inside, try to get as little of the yellow stuff (called “aloe juice” as opposed to the clear aloe gel) as possible - it is said to cause skin irritation.

Good luck and happy crafting! :green_heart:

Back when I lived in Florida, I worked with an aloe vera plant as a home ward. He protected my home’s front entrance from any unwanted energies and people, and I took care of him. I’ve never used aloe in spells, specifically, but I associate aloe very much with protection. I even made a video about my aloe ward when I first got him

Like most, we use Aloe Vera for balms and for ingredients in solutions to offset drying ingredients (hand sanitizers). I found another page that echoes what BryWisteria linked. It seems that Aloe definitely has a purpose in our world. Aloe in Magick

@MeganB Thanks i will watch it. I have the Aloe Vera plant at both the front and back yard and have even recently put Rosemary in pots near our front and back doors plus my witch room too… Guess my place is heavily protected then

In the initial months of the pandemic, hand sanitizer was non-existent here. I made it with aloe vera juice and Everclear (a 95 percent consumable alcohol not available everywhere but cheap where we are). However, the commercial stuff has other goodies in it (glycerin, etc) so my stuff wasn’t as nice but it also didn’t dry our skin. I didn’t explore it but my understanding is aloe juice can be drank… sounds kinda yucky though.
