Wow… I just had a great experience with a spell. I am solitary with my practices and only the people here are my sounding board when I have exciting news… exciting for me. Maybe I should apologize for bending your ear… Thank you for listening…
I am relatively new to spells but am a long (looonnng) time meditator. Previous experiences with spells were mediocre. I decided to combine my strength in meditation to enhance my spell making. This attempt was outstanding.
It wasn’t that it was an instant success… that remains to be seen. It was that I felt more connected to it and comfortable with it than I ever had with any previous spell. I was sending a wellness spell to a friend. I wanted him to be comfortable and have a better chance of prolonging his life.
It was a combination of a Witch’s String, spell bottle, and meditation. It is a long term spell so I will revisit/refresh it as the days go by. When I was done with this part, I was relaxed and confident I had done what I set out to do. I was so relaxed and zoned out that I had to rest for a while before I got up and typed this.
I hope everyone working their disciplines have had or will have such an ‘Aha!’ moment.
That’s an awesome feeling - congrats on the successful casting, Dan! It’s very thoughtful and kind of you to reach out to help your friend in need. I hope your spell continues to manifest positively
This is exciting! I’m very happy for you! Now you know how to help yourself feel more connected to your magic! Keep up the good work!
My Aha moment happened back in the late 1990’s. So many people had been talking about visualization, but I couldn’t seem to wrap my head around it. I stared at a lace doily, memorizing every bend in the string. When I closed my eyes, I could still see the lace, but I also saw a rose on the table with the doily! That was when I realized it was easier than I was making it out to be.
I had a similar experience with visualization. When working on creating a mind space, I kept trying to conjure esoteric images. The moment I considered a much more mundane image, it appeared. It was deceptively easy
Hi Dan3
Good for you. I think one of the strongest instrument in your practice is your mind.
" If you can imagine it, you can make it so.
Remember to not give up. Sometimes frustration stonewalls us. It isn’t that Deity doesn’t hear us, they always listen. When a spell doesn’t work, maybe they’re saying “Not yet, you aren’t ready.”
You are learning your talent, your strenth and I encourage you.
Pat yourself on the back and know we support your efforts.
Be careful, be kind and know you are part of a new supportive familty.

Thank you for the kind words. It is certainly nice to be able to share not only my successes but my doubts. It is especially good to read about others and their approaches. I attribute my growth so far to this community.
Several months ago, I contacted my friend and explained briefly what I was doing. He is deeply Christian and at first, he was unhappy with me but thanked me. He then dropped off contacting me for several weeks. I was worried I had lost him.
Just recently, he contacted me. He is still terminal but the ravages of his illness have stagnated. His blood tests came back normal. That was part of what I was hoping for him. He isn’t cured, of course, but he is comfortable and able to do day-to-day tasks.
This was a synchronicity moment that may be a mundane coincidence. To me, it doesn’t matter because a goal of my spell was met. There are other goals to watch for and for now, I am going with Ariana Carrasca’s approach which, in summary, says ‘keep counting them, at some point you will decide if it was magick’.
That’s wonderful, I’m glad to hear he’s stabilized and doing better now!
Synchronicity, coincidence, magick, or anything else, support means the world during tough times - it was kind of you to reach out and help your friend during their time of need. It sounds like him reaching out to let you know he’s okay was him showing his gratitude
