Angel Tarot Reading Help

I am new to Tarot Reading. I have an Angel Deck. The other day I pulled the Three of Air card. It has been bothering me. Today I asked for some clarity on that card and pulled the Eight of Water. The Five of Air also fell out. There were all right side up. I’m looking for some help with these cards as they all point to me losing a relationship.

I’m assuming:

Air is Swords
Water is Cups
Fire is Wands
Earth is Pentacles

3 of air would be 3 of Swords
8 of Water would be 8 of cups
5 of air would be 5 of Swords

This based on the elements associated with the suits

The specific card explanations can be had using Google, any Tarot book, or an AI. If you want a combined reading of what you drew (don’t be shy - we all get confused), let us know.

Hi @liana1,

Dan shared some great advice :+1: As I’m also not familiar with this Angel Deck, I’d second the suggestion to check the guidebook for any deck-specific meanings unique to those cards. Some decks have special associations for their cards that can be very helpful when working out an interpretation. This is especially true for stylized tarot decks or oracle decks, as they may use a completely different system/amount of cards/meanings/etc than traditional Rider Waite style tarot decks.

Having said that, if these cards do align with the traditional Rider Waite meanings and using Dan’s clever translation, I’d say:

Your main card is the Three of Swords. That can be a scary looking card, especially when the reading was about a romance or a relationship, as it can symbolize heartbreak or conflict. Always smart to do what you did and draw some clarifying cards!

The Eight of Cups is a card of moving on. Paired with your jumper card being the Five of Swords, a second sword card - especially the fifth - returns to the conflict and trouble that the main Three of Swords Card could be pointing to.

Putting them all together, I’d read it as a difficult situation that is very stressful on both the mind and the heart. Continuing to fight will only lengthen the period of suffering. But the conflict does not have to be eternal, and although it may be hard to cut losses (Eight of Cups) or admit wrongdoings (Five of Swords), it is possible to walk away and find clarity. Sort through your thoughts, let things settle, and begin the journey toward healing.

Just my thoughts on the table for your consideration. Blessed be :sparkles:

Thank you

Hi @liana1, welcome to the site! :hugs:

I don’t know where all of the tarot/oracle readers are, but I’ll offer my opinion if you don’t mind. It’s a challenge to provide a reading without knowing the spread or seeing the cards, especially as the imagery is important to many when using their intuition, but I’ll use Dan’s example and assume it’s a simple Relevant Past, Present, and Possible Future spread.

It is possible that it is the loss of a relationship, and if so, then that relationship might not be what you need in your world right now. It could be unhealthy or toxic, or maybe you’ve just outgrown it; whatever the reason, if it isn’t serving your best and highest good, then perhaps it is time to let it go.

On the other hand, it’s also possible that the cards don’t mean exactly what they look like, and I say that as someone who has recently relearned that lesson. The cards are rarely wrong, but they don’t always turn out the way we expect. For example, perhaps you might lose an item (clothing, jewellry, etc.) which was from someone special, or represents someone you need to let go of. Maybe it’s an unhealthy relationship with chips (me too), or maybe a work/friend is going away… or it could be as simple as something which has been playing on your mind and the cards are telling you to let it go. Whatever is happening, you need to choose whether to let it go mentally and emotionally, or not - it is within your power, so choose what you feel is right for you.

With Love & Light x
