I made my first home protection spell jar. I added
black salt
lavender
bay leaf
amethyst
labradorite
rosemary
I’m really looking for insight on the things I added; this is my first time going off the top of my head using what I’ve learned and trying not to use a guide so I’m wondering how I did. thank you in advance and Blessed Be

Maybe you´d want to grab a notebook (if you don´t have a book of spells or grimoire already) and write down the ingredients and what your intention was, when you put them into the jar.
For me, I´m always blessing each single ingredient before putting it into the jar and simply tell it, what I want it to do. Like “Black Salt - please shield and protect my home from any and all unwanted, disturbing or negative energies. Thank you.”
But I know that others will fill in all the ingredients and THEN bless and program the whole thing. Either way is valid of course.

I think it’s fabulous, you got the heavy ingredients balanced lovely with the gentler amethyst and lavender, like having a tough bodyguard that loves puppies. I love this well done

How about one of those kitchen cupboards so high no one can reach so it won’t get bothered? The kitchen is the heart of the home, so it would protect the whole house.
Lovely work, btw. You did a great job intuiting what you and your home need on many levels, physical, emotional, spiritual…

I agree with @katharina - if you haven’t started a grimoire or book of spells, this is exactly the kind of thing they’re for.
