Waiting in the dark
Shadows stretch as night falls.
People hide behind their walls,
Shades drawn, shutters closed,
And doors are locked in fear.
What lurks to raise such fear.
Is it Ghosts or Goblins?
Is it Wolves or Witches.
The monsters or magical?
A knock on the door and
you slowly open it, to seal your fate.
What lurks on your steps?
Who is it you bribe to leave you alone?
The creatures shout their demands.
Is that Captain America and Iron man?
A little Wonder Woman, oh my, the Hulk.
It’s candy for everyone!
Happy Halloween!

Many people are afraid of both. And many are afraid of even smaller things – insects, arachnids, birds, mice, rabbits… Fears usually stem from a lack of understanding, such as thinking all spiders are dangerous, birds are dirty, the connection between rodents and the plague, etc. And possibly too many horror movies.
Garnet:
Is it Ghosts or Goblins?
My first thought was this.
Ghosts 'n Goblins, known in Japan as Makaimura (Japanese: é”界村; lit. "Demon World Village"), is a series of run-and-gun platform video games developed and owned by Capcom. The first entry in the series was Ghosts 'n Goblins, released in arcades on July 7, 1985. The series has subsequently been ported to and released on a variety of personal computers, game consoles and mobile platforms and spawned several sequels and spin-offs.
The main series focuses on the knight Arthur's quest to save prince...
Lovely poem, though.
