My husband loves model making - more usually it’s model ships or aircraft. But every now and then he comes across a witchy model and orders it to make for me. He has previously made me a Magic Emporium, and today he finished this Magic Gypsy Wagon, displayed here without the roof:
This is absolutely adorable!! I really want some medal bookends! Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to make some! All those little pieces look so tedious to me!
Oh my goodness this is so cute! I love the stuffing used to make the cauldron look like it’s boiling - there are so many fun touches and little details that bring this to life. I bet Eric had fun putting it together! What a lovely gift to give
OMG - these are brilliant! Eric does wonderful work!
I can’t get over these tiny little bits of perfection: the tiny books on the floor, the red hat, the little signs and drawers and teacup… lovelovelove these!
They do deserve to be displayed, so I agree it’s better to stop so you can give these two the attention they deserve. You are both so thoughtful of each other!
I’ve given him another “project” though. Each of them has little lights inside, but it’s a royal pain to actually turn them on. First I have to lift off the perspex cover and then turn them around and wrestle with the little switch. I asked if he could wire them so there was a simple button on the outside of the perspex display case that I could mash to turn the lights on and off.
I think they all are absolutely beautiful and you can tell how much love he put into every single detail! I’d have to say the greenhouse is my #1 favorite! I wish I had the patience to build things like that!
Thank you! I think my favorite of them all is the Tea Room - resonates with my English side, but really I love them all.
He spends hours on his models - he loves it, belongs to online model groups and stuff. His room is full of shelves with model ships, and model planes hang from the ceiling. The shelves have also spread into the workout room, but I’m trying to discourage them from spreading any further through the house.
