Anti-stress apps - Recommendations/Reviews?

Greetings to all,

I’ve searched for a thread but haven’t found one… I found a witchy apps thread which I lost again… anyway, do any of you use an app to destress that you’d like to share?

I have one which is my go to, funnily enough it’s called Anti-stress lol.

What I Like Most:
The variety… I get bored quite easily, and there are times I need to be doing something without doing anything, if that makes sense? I need to switch off the thought processes and just be… I know the fellow empaths will understand. Anyway, there are just over 100 toys and games to choose from, and they are satisfying in their own way.

What I Don’t Like:
Not much really, there are a few toys that I don’t quite get, but that’s just me.

It’s simple and easy to understand

I love the cleaning and polishing one, I find it satisfying

The Walk in the Park is beautiful and peaceful, the music is lovely too, and at any point you can press pause to stop walking and take a look around…

The night sky, which doesn’t need access to the camera thankfully… just move your phone and see the stars…

Oooh, and the face one, because although pulling and flicking someone’s face isn’t illegal, it is frowned upon…

There are meditation sounds, a chalkboard, a typewriter, a potter’s wheel, fish to feed, a cauldron, a sound bowl, colour by number, nails to hammer, things to paint and clean, musical instruments, tic tac toe, ping pong and more. You don’t need to sign up to anything, connect with friends or social media, etc., it’s old school, you just play.

By the way, I did not make the app, nor do I have shares in it lol… I just think it’s great. I’m looking forward to hearing which apps you all use/recommend!

‘Anti-stress’ and ‘Walk in the Park’ both seem like really neat apps!

I don’t use any apps for de-stressing (or many apps in general) as I have a habit of randomly cleaning out my phone. I don’t know what it is, but apps on my screen are like toys left out all over the floor in my brain and I need to clean them up

That being said, I’ve seen a lot of people here in the forum use the ‘Calm’ app, which looks really cute. And ‘Insight Timer’ is supposed to be good for meditations. I believe the Spells8 guided meditations and spells are available through the Spells8 app, too.

It’s nice to have lots of options for phone-based destressing! I’ll look forward to seeing what others recommend too :eyes: :+1:

It’s all in the one app lovely, Walk in the Park is one of the games you can “play”.

Me tooooooo!

Some of the wording of guided meditation hinders me; for example, I remember thinking ‘well if I can’t see the red sphere how can I see it spinning’. I use a Wicca app for it’s Free Mode, the forest and night sounds really help me. It also has a digital BoSs which comes in handy when I don’t have my physical one.

I’ll have a look for the Calm app, thank you!

I don’t have any that I use specifically, but my daughter really loves the ASMR apps and games. One of her favorites is a digital slime maker  you can change the colors, make it a different texture (visually, of course), and add different things into it. Then, when you’re done making your slime, you can move it around on the screen and it has matching sound effects.

I don’t like slime and it grosses me out, but she can spend quite a while playing with it when she’s feeling overstimulated!

Ooo thanks @MeganB, that sounds like something my daughter might like too! She hates getting messy but loves to watch messy stuff, maybe this will be a nice place in between for her. Do you know what it’s called, there’s probably 100s of them lol!

Not off the top of my head, no, but I’ll try to remember to ask her when she gets home from school  and you’re right, there are so many!

Ooo that sounds interesting @celineelise, I’ll check it out! And thanks @MeganB, without a name it’s like searching Google for something and getting distracted by cat videos :see_no_evil:

I don’t use apps anymore, the organising of my life causes me stress . Now I like those slow living vlogs on YouTube, it’s like traveling the world from my armchair, really good when the chaos melts my brain. So good I’ve gone premium so my calm anti-stress video isn’t interrupted by a toothpaste advert

I can’t find walk in the park in Apple store in Canada :frowning:
I love insight timer. Aura. (My new go to). Goddess (my fave app other than Spells8!)
And my yoga app.
Headspace is ok. Calm is ok.
Love seeing others suggestions!

Ah, that went right over my head - thank you for clarifying! :handshake:  It’s neat that one app has so many fun options for destressing

That sounds really handy! :open_book: :star_struck:

I haven’t heard of this before but it sounds really cool. Makes me think there’s an app out there for just about everything! :test_tube: :sparkles: :woman_scientist:

That’s one of the best things about it @BryWisteria, one app for practically all I need to destress!

This is the app with the digital BoSs and meditation sounds, my other go to app aside from spells8 lol…

@KylaD
Walk in the Park is inside the antistress app lovely, the app icon looks like this

If you can get it, scroll down until you see the tree icon, click that and you’re in the park. Hope you find it, I’ll check out Aura and Goddess too so thanks!

My AntiStress app is specific for an Amazon Fire Tablet. It has different toys. I went through all but 2, today, just to write down what they do. Total of 44 activities. No tree. Four are not supported on this platform, though the icon is there. Another four are online only- I was playing offline at the time. There were no buttons on the top saying I could choose between toys and games. The first 8 pictured on yours are totally different than mine. No cleaning game, no looking at the stars (drat! I’d enjoy that, since I can’t see stars anymore). The face game I have piles a bunch of faces on the ground, and when you touch them, some make sounds, but none move.

What company puts out your Anti Stress App? Mine says it’s by AntiStress.

The whole two per bookshelf image is about the only thing which is the same.

So far, my favorites are the cauldron- a bubbling fire in which to throw (tap to drop) a box of toys, a radio, or a train, and the surprise box- a black screen which, when tapped, explodes in fireworks. For meditation, an electric fan can be turned on and off, made to oscillate, go faster or slower. If I’m angry, the dummy would be good: throw a ball at a stuffed dummy and it gets tossed about. Or another where I tap a ball and it knocks over stacked barrels, which then explode.

@KylaD so glad you found it, great isn’t it? Have fun!

@georgia Mine is made by JindoBlu, and thanks to you it occurred to me to search for it on my ipad so thank you! I’ve noticed that there are a few apps called Anti Stress - didn’t notice them before - but the one I’ve got is all one word, Antistress, here’s a picture of it on the App Store (Apple), it looks the same on the Google Play store. Although maybe it’s a country thing… I hope you get it, but if not it sounds like you’ve found an app you might enjoy, so yay!

Ah! I see what I did wrong. I picked the icon with the blue board on a yellow background rather than the yellow board with a blue background. :upside_down_face:

Does your version have a timer which darkens the screen at night? Since I downloaded the yellow board late, all I got was black screens on every game, every toy! I could hear sounds- the black star was crickets, but nothing visual, even in the painting games. Amazon Fire sux: avoid purchase if at all possible.

Um, no I dont think mine has a timer, but night mode sounds kind of interesting!

Hope you got the right one

Good Friday morning beautiful people :hugs:

I’ve been using the Aura app for about a year. It’s not free, but there’s discounts available. It has meditation, podcasts, stories, and others modes specific to spirituality, Reiki, Chakra Energy/healing, etc.

I’ve also found a limitless stream of music for every level of Hz, Tantric, Drumming and singing bowl on YouTube.

Thank you @CrystalWitch62, I never thought about the different Hz levels before… I will have to explore that!
