Any suggestions on making own oracle decks

So ive decided to make my own oracle decks and maybe a tarot and lenormand and kipper decks. But the oracle deck doesnt have a set system ive been looking aroynd for ideas on format for card reflecying on a set up of a card that i find useful to use ie i like a title for card and at least a further description or explanation or afgirmatoon on the card to gice more of an idea what the card is about.
Obviously i need to make sure cards same side and easy to shuffle.
I have ideas for the cards themself :joy:sooo many ideas bit i thought maybe id ask if anyone has mad their own oracle deck before if have any suggestions or advice abouy the process, tips for creation ie i know if media on cards too think may impact how shuffle etc. Also paper images printed on card can catch as shuffle. I made a very simole lenormamd using free printed card images found. . But im set for the challenge and ive looked online for steps so kinda got an idea, but i know there is lots of creative people on here that maybe someone might of started on this journet of creating own deck, even fir personal use ( or if really talented maybe for sale… who knoes) abd maybe might have some advice ( if willing to share advice, all good if not i wont be offended) to how to approach or go about this task of creating own deck.

Oh honey! I am veryy much making my own oracle deck currently! It’s like you just pulled out my secret! :innocent: It’s called, One With The Universe!! :ringer_planet: :star2: :sparkles: It’s not done yet but I am trying to take out time to make it quickly! I have bought 200 pcs of tiny blank cards and a few more of bigger sized blank cards. Although the bigger one has a lower quality I think for now I will go with it. I am actually making my deck design on canva! It’s super easy and you can add so many types of free magical elements to your cards! I hope that my reply has helped you a lil bit dear! :hugs: If yes, do let me know! And of course, blessed oracle making! :innocent: :tarot_card: :magic_wand:

I have a list of words that I’m going to create an oracle deck out of, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’m going to use Canva to create them! I can use stock images and things that are already there to pull in the meanings and images I want for the words. I just…haven’t gotten around to it yet

I think I’m going to print mine on cardstock or have them printed on cardstock somewhere else. I think that’s the best way to ensure they’re nice and sturdy. You could even laminate them, but I think that’s a bit more difficult and could leave you with sharp edges on the corners of your cards. Plus, unless you have a laminating machine yourself, that can get expensive.

I am so excited for you @Phoenix_Fire! Making your own decks is no doubt a lot of work, but I think it’s going to be a lot of fun too. And the result is a personalized, unique, completely custom deck suited to you and your needs. It’s going to be amazing- I’m cheering for you! :sparkles:

Good luck and happy crafting! :flower_playing_cards:

I am a huge proponent of making your own decks, at least one, because they will be uniquely tuned to you personally in a way that other decks may not be. I created an eclectic deck that I am thrilled with! By choosing the images for each, which deities, colors, etc to represent, I fulfilled my personal subliminal needs.
My deck mixes animals, colors, crystals and deities, oftentimes those specific ones that are seldom if ever represented in other decks. For example, I have Archangels Uriel, Chiron, Ymir, Blue aura, Aventurine, No/Yes, Otter, etc from several pantheons/traditions because I found those to be sorely under-resented in other single decks. So, in other words, the deck I made was specifically designed to be an ‘all-in-one’ clarifying deck.
For me, I first decided what decks I had and what I found missing or requiring better clarification during reads. For example, Ymir clarifies that there’s a potential generation curse or hex involved, and Wolf provides a clarified timeframe and energy, Saturn portends hardships potentially leading to great benefits, and Blue Aura indicates healing, wisdom and the 606-668 frequency.
Then I created the cards in Word and printed them up on cardstock.
I then painted each card front and back with clear, high-gloss spray paint to protect them from the elements (especially spilt coffee  ) and more easily shuffled. But this last step isn’t necessary as it can be extremely time consuming because multiple even layers are needed and it must be done outside or in a well-ventilated area. They then need substantial time to completely dry or they will stick together.

Hope this helps! Have an awesome day!
