Poseidon and Persephone feature in the Iliad - Persephone (underworld bada$$) is called to underline oaths should they not be honored and Poseidon (Sea god) actually took part in it by releasing the Danaans (Greeks) from the pressure of the Trojans in the numerous back and forth battles. Orpheus (kind of a super human bard) was too nice to be in the Iliad.

This might be applicable to many of my long term relationships. (I don’t have as many short term ones). We got to the 'Long Term" level by mutual experiences and thoughts… pretty much what the cards describe.
Child: childhood, trust, a new stage, small matters
I like a general Narrative format for this read.
The relationship that’s moving in a positive direction is between my inner child (Child) and my studio. I’ve been spending more time in there, cleaning up and straightening up supplies that I walked out on the minute things started blooming outside.
Bear is the reminder that I have several relationships to protect and nurture, both internal and external.
The Star card is my inspiration when I get going with my art.
Reflection: I’ve been seeing a lot of the Child card lately. It’s pointing me in other directions.

While on our little road trip my son received an e-mail that his wife’s VISA has been approved and to “wait for letter and follow further instructions.”
Wow, we’ve only been waiting since 2020 (I mean we can’t donate $5 million for a visa from Trump )
So here is the read in order of the cards.
My son’s persistence (anchor), in filing and waiting these years has paid off; because this week the authorities (tower)it seems have accepted the visa papers so we have no more legal issues (tower). Therefore, according to these cards, she will be able to come from India, before the end of the year, if not, by October.
Well, this is certainly great news, my son’s relationship with his wife is moving in a positive direction (finally )
As with yesterday’s draw this seems to fit my son’s situation more than my own.
He will receive news (I’m hoping the letter the gov’t told us “to wait for further instructions”) which will tell us the arrival (anchor, permanence) of his wife is accepted by the gov’t and he will be able to go get her.
This is wonderful news and follows from yesterday.
Now, if this was for me, and my situation–My husband has come to the conclusion (rider with news) to stop being so stubborn (anchor) in his “inability/unwilliness” ultimately “permanent” resistant to change, and has decided that he will start to cooperate with everyone in this home.
I have seen a few changes in him this week, but it doesn’t point to whether he is considering his change of attitude, or his preparation to leave. Can’t tell and at this point, don’t care. After 30 years of marriage I have made MY decision. He can do what the hell he wants. I’m just waiting for my daughter-in-law to get here and my son to decide where they will live, and then I will take the action that I need to.
Rider (Hemes). In the Iliad, Hemes was a Charioteer, a Protector and companion (he escorted Priam through the Greek lines to ransom Hector’s body)
Ship (Odysseus). In the Iliad, Odysseus was a thoughtful and brave warrior - he is slated to take the most adventurous ship ride ever when the Odyssey starts
Scythe (Persephone). In the Iliad, Persephone was used to underline the seriousness of oaths. She is an underworld bada$$
The unexpected support today is from specific Greek gods who could be argued as the most efficient, the least petty, and the most serious. A fast‑moving message or encounter (Rider) sets a larger transition in motion (Ship), and a decisive cut or removal (Scythe) clears the path.
The story line of the Iliad and these gods fits the question well.
Again, I note the Child card keeps popping up. I like seeing it so much lately, it feels like a sign from the Universe to wind down the outside physical work as much as possible and focus on some lighter play time.
I can honor my body today by getting some yoga movement in, along with some relaxing meditation. I generally feel both relaxed and energized afterwards, so that’s what the Sun card is representing here.
The Heart card seems to go hand in hand with the spirit of today’s question; it’s very validating to see it.
Reflection: this is a good question for me today, since it’s leading me to focus on some self care.

Taken quite literally, it reads, Taking joy in reading at home has been helping me to de-stress. I use reading as a complete escape from reality. Who needs reality TV to escape? If I want to see “reality”, just open the door. [Literally, about 10 years ago, there were squatters across the street and a drug deal went bad, they started shooting at each other, one in the yard behind a tree, the other in the street behind his car. I call 911—What’s your emergency?–They’re shooting at each other!–You think you hear gun-shots?–NO! I KNOW they are!! I’m watching them shoot at each right now!!–and she starts her, don’t go outside, help is coming speech…] I read to escape reality.
PS–Really, my neighborhood is not that bad–I live in an older neighborhood and when people die their relatives sometimes squat until authorities quick them out. Good neighbors have been in that for years now. Oh, after the squatters burned the top story down, a few months later.
