Baby witch from the Netherlands

:white_heart: Hola fellow witches :white_heart:

I am Nury and i am a babywitch from the Netherlands. I live in Groningen to be exact  Since a week i have been re-exploring solitary witchcraft, mostly to find a spiritual practice that suits me for 12 step work in addiction recovery. I am interested in witchcraft for personal reasons. Like mental health, positivity, nature, creativity and i have always been interested in crystals and moon cycles. Due to a harsh family upringing i stopped learning about witchcraft when i was a teenager. I just simply wasn’t allowed and was picked on by friends because i practiced, or tried to practice Wicca. However, now i’m a 39 yr old woman who is exploring to make her own choices (after lots of therapy) and here i’m back at practicing solitary witchcraft and it really makes me happy. I feel like the witchy ways have never left me really and i have always felt a connection. So it feels like coming home again.

Some things about me:

  • Live in the Netherlands but i’m Colombian
  • 39 yrs old
  • i think i am a cancer but my adoption was illegal, so i’m not sure
  • i like dinosaurs
  • favorite herb is lavender
  • favorite crystal: Labradorite
  • Love the full moon
  • lucid dreamer
  • i condider myself a kitchen witch
  • favorite colors: Black, turqoise, yellow, purple, red
  • i’m a nightowl
  • creative spirit

Hope to learn from you and thank you for being a friendly community.

Blessed Be, :white_heart:

Hi, @nury! I’m Amethyst from over here in the States! Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

It’s nice to meet you! I’m glad you’re able to follow your own path now. That’s great! I tip my witchy hat to you!

I’m an Eclectic Witch who likes candle magic and chants. I’m a frustrated Kitchen Witch too. I’m disabled, so I can’t really stand and cook anymore, so I take my frustrations out by posting oodles of recipes here.

If you have any questions or anything, just ask, and someone will be there to give you a hand! I look forward to getting to know you!

Merry Monday Nury,

Welcome to our group. I was late in returning to the craft also. Let me tell you, it makes life soooo much better!!! We have daily Tarot and Lenormand reads so join at any time. Personally, I am not “into” anything in particular. I have been working on my divination skills (tarot, lenormand, and scrying), along with dreams and shadow work. I try not to use much “stuff” in the practice. Just because I figure our ancestors did not have many “frills” so I try to practice with just the basics also. But, that is me, and in the craft, it is each to their own. So, whatever you do, if it works for you, more power to you!!!

You will find much information here, and will find many people with diverse experiences, interests, and backgrounds.

Welcome to our group, and glad you were able to find us!!!

Greetings from New Mexico!

Welcome @nury!

Great purpose for witchcraft! Keep up the good work, and may it serve you well!

They weren’t really friends. Sadly, teens don’t have much choice in that matter- at least I never did. Glad you’re back to trusting your own path. That’s big!

Welcome, @nury and Merry Meet! I’m Feathertip, from SE Michigan. I’m a lifelong Pagan and I love to work with Nature and stay close to all her critters.

I love growing and working with herbs. I also spend a lot of time in my kitchen! I practice Yogic meditation and use Lenormand cards for divination.

You’ll fit right in! What I find special is how much creativity is involved in the practice - we all choose our paths and this creativity manifests itself in different ways, but we are kindred spirits. :sparkles:

I hope to see you around the forum and look forward to getting to know you better. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions about anything - this site is huge and there’s always stuff going on.

Enjoy your journey, lovely! You’re in the right place. :sparkling_heart: :herb: :feather:

Merry Meet, Nury!

What a beautiful way to return to yourself! Reading your words, I can feel that “coming home” energy. When something has always lived quietly inside you and then you finally give it space again, that is really powerful. Especially after everything you’ve gone through.

I’m Stephanie or Eira of the Living Hearth, an eclectic witch from California, and I’m really glad you’re here. Using solitary witchcraft as a spiritual framework alongside a 12-step program makes so much sense. The craft can be deeply grounding, the rhythm of moon cycles, tending herbs, stirring intention into food, working with crystals, it gives structure, meaning, and embodiment to healing.

The way you describe yourself feels so alive. It also really moved me that you shared about being discouraged from practicing when you were younger. There’s something sacred about choosing yourself at 39, after therapy, after growth, after hard work. That’s not “starting over.” That’s reclaiming power. I love that.

You absolutely belong here. Explore at your own pace. Blend recovery with ritual. Let lavender soothe you, let the moon anchor you, let creativity be your medicine.

I’m so glad you found your way back!
Blessed Be :herb: :dizzy:

Hello @nury and merry meet! :purple_heart:

You found a safe place here to ask questions, read about interesting topics and join different activities! :cherry_blossom:

I´m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my pratice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.

The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything. The people here are very sweet and helpful, so just make yourself known if there´s any questions, someone will certainly show up to help you.

I´m having some fun projects going on here! I´m hosting the 13 moons, 13 goddesses thread, where we are exploring the 13 female archetypes and are creating a small clay figurine (or any other artistic expression really, no matter if you´d like to paint, draw, dance, write a poem…it is very open really) during the Full Moons, because this year we are blessed with 13 Full Moons. :cherry_blossom:
And together with @leilani1 I´m hosting the monthly Tarot Journey, where we do daily pulls, but also meditations and practice easy three card spreads. You are very welcome to join in!! :purple_heart:

Brightest blessings! :dizzy:

Merry meet Nury

I just wanted to welcome you. I recently joined myself and
was a little apprehensive about posting my introduction and opening up. The responses I received were full of love, support and kindness. You have definitely come to the right place.

Being in a different Country and feeling a little isolated can be hard. I am from a small village in Lancashire, England. You are not alone there are members all over the world and we are here for you.

The course lessons are really helpful and there are plenty of members that can help.

I am a Solitary Eclectic Witch and my divinations are crystals, tarot, runes, Lenormand, candle magic, tending outdoor, indoor plants and growing herbs, spell jars, spell bags, moon water, water meditation and home cleansing. I am doing the daily Oracle Cards which is my new go to.

I try to simplify, balance and live intentionally by regularly declutterring both home, digital having resetting routines, to create a calm, peaceful, relaxing home for my family and animals. I regularly check monthly to see what has worked and anything needs altering. This allows me to have more time in learning my craft and self-care which is important.

I wish you blessings

Greetings @nury and welcome!

My name is Kat, and I practice bioregional animism grounded in the North Carolina Piedmont, blending science and magick. I’ve been practicing for over 30 years. I create divination tools adapted to my local ecosystem, including ogham staves and seasonal tree sets. I also read tarot. I’ve studied herbalism, make my own herbal teas, and enjoy working in herb and vegetable gardens. My practice is hands-on: I craft tools, make runes and deity figurines, and bind my own journals.

There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!

We’re glad you’re here. Make yourself comfortable, explore at your own pace, and feel free to ask any questions you might have!
