Backyard friends from today @

I came downstairs and was getting coffee going while looking out my kitchen window. All of a sudden there were two male Baltimore Orioles at my feeder! They’ve been so shy in prior years that it’s always one at a time, so this was a thrill!

Of course by the time I ran and grabbed my phone, one had already taken off.

Here’s the other pretty boy:

And then, Daisy the Mallard hen decided to show up and photo bomb the next shot. She’s such a diva!

Daisy has been visiting our backyard since we moved in 3 years ago. She’s usually with her significant other, Jay. I’ll try to get pictures of this glamor couple when they’re here together.

OOo thank you for sharing! How exciting! :bird: I’ve been bitten by the birding bug this year and joined a local club. My phone isn’t good enough to capture decent images of the birds I see, but I would be thrilled to see Baltimore Orioles!

@tracyS and @Artemisia - happy you like them!

My phone is getting old, and I know I’m due for an upgrade - hate spending the $$ but the tradeoff will be much better pictures!

@BryWisteria and @Amethyst - thank you lovelies! I’m happy these pics brought smiles.

@Amethyst - everyone loves Daisy - she’s quite tame, and will often just nestle under a nearby bush when we’re sitting outside, and hang out.

@Artemisia - have fun with your birding club! Watching our feathered friends is wonderful.
