Basement Protection spell needed

Hello,
My family and I moved into the basement of a house. Having another family living in the house above us. I need to ground, cleanse and set up a protection shield, so that anyone or thing coming into our space is pure hearted and honest.

Wow! Considering that basements are closest to the foundations of the house, your energy will soon become a similar foundation!

Grounding a home seems similar to individual grounding. Imagine roots growing from your floor deep into the ground. The energy from above can flow like a lightening rod down the corners and supports into the ground and be modified by the earth, thus bypassing your space and family.

A protective shield may include weaving your favorite color into the walls, ceiling, floor, and doors around you as a support for your own energy and that of your family. Ask the color at the doorways to become a filter to allow in purity of heart and honesty and hold out negativity.

Search the forum and Spells8 for more ideas: there are a lot on the site.

I hope things work out well for you and your family in your new home!

Hi there! I don’t know if you work with the Fae or not, but I’d set out some offerings to the Earth Fae that may or may not be around since you’re in the basement, which is usually built into the earth.

Hope this helps you!

I would treat a basement protection spell just like any other home protection and blessing. You determine the area that you want to protect, and then cast from there. You’ve got a lot of options, too! I’ve gathered some links for you to help get you started.

These should get you started!

thank you i will do the first part; as for the color my landlord does not allow us to paint the walls.
Any other recommendations?

Grid the basement. Place protection crystal and herbs in each corner and at the entrance of the basement. Make a small herb jar/bottle along with the crystals. Smudge as often as you feel it needs to be done. If you can’t use smoke, use a liquid smudge.

How will i know if its working?

Oh, I’m sorry. I wasn’t being clear. I didn’t mean to paint. You can imagine the color as a bubble of light around you or as something similar to fabric which can be woven in your imagination around the room and through otherwise impenetrable cement and wood. Request the light to protect you from the energy of others.

I do this so often in apartments that I guess I don’t think about individual steps anymore. Thank you for revealing my weakness! I can now work on my concentration and firm the protection back up again.

@Irena_Moonshower You will know its working when you feel protected. Now, I know this might feel silly at first but… talk to your space. Every time I enter my home I say “Hello house!” I say it with joy and appreciation. Say things like, “I am so glad to be here!, I love it here!, Thank you for protecting me and the family!” Your place will become it’s own protective entity. Keep at it even if it feels silly at first.

@marina That is very true. Everything has memory. Just like we feel better when someone says something nice to us, same goes for the house, car, plants etc…
im trying to slow down but its hard.

There’s a good article on the Site about that. Let me link you:

Hope that helps!

There are lots of different solutions and, depending on your path, you may have a few to choose from. I am using a Poppet to protect but Megan’s link shows alternatives.

Marina’s comment is also one I use. I talk to the house, to my Poppets and meditate on protections and good vibes. Doing it often feels good and can answer your question about knowing it is working. You will feel it.

Here is my grumpy house Poppet. She overlooks my work area and I talk to her regularly. She doesn’t answer back but she is a stoic guard that makes me feel better.

I never worked with fairies.

I don’t have a “poppet” per say… but I do have Paul and Meow. They help me sleep!

Poppet is a generic term. Paul and Meow are great and can serve the same purpose. Bless them and focus your intent on them and ‘Bob’s your uncle’!

Neither have I really, but leaving some pennies or something like that around shouldn’t hurt.
