@Ostara will agree with me on this - the number of days when it is pleasant enough to sit outside in Texas are limited. Come May it’s usually too hot, too steamy and too buggy and it stays that way until October.
But today is absolutely gorgeous weather, the sky is blue, the temps are in the 70s, not the 90s and it’s not steamy yet.
So I went outside to see if my arthritic body would let me sit on the grass under the pine tree and meditate.
And oh what an experience! At first I lay on the grass, looking up at the pine tree, watching the sunlight sparkle on the needles. I asked the spirits of the tree and plants in the garden to join me and share their wisdom.
Then I listened to this rather lovely prayer on Insight Timer.
It sounds so lovely! I’d love to be able to get under a tree. But they’d have to get a fireman to get me up, and they probably wouldn’t look like the ones on TV!
I surprised myself by bring able to get down and back up again without assistance. I suppose the miles I’m putting in on the exercise bike are doing their job.
