Received some unrefined, unfiltered bee wax from a friend.
Well… let’s transform it into beautiful bee wax in the witch’s way!
Beautiful video! What are you going to do with the beeswax next?
That’s a really cool process! I’ve never seen it, nor looked into how it’s done if I’m being honest. What are your plans for the beeswax?
Hi, @matariel! I’m Amethyst. Welcome to the forum! Good luck with your beeswax!
I once did something similar. There was a lot to it, and I made a mess, but it was fun.
Mom had introduced me to antique solid perfumes. I found a recipe in a book by Scott Cunningham, and decided to try it as a set of holiday gifts for the family.
I collected baby food jars and painted the lids with miniatures of the flowers I was using to scent the wax.
When I handed them out, the looks on the faces around me were abject horror, though my mother was quite proud of me and happy with hers. I get the feeling most ended up in the trash, though I used mine up. Mom’s was about half used when she discovered mold; so if you try it, add Storax or Benzoin as a preservative.
Hello and welcome home
@matariel
Thank you for sharing the interesting and informative video! Welcome to the family
With love always
Welcome @matariel
Thanks for sharing this video.
Merry meet @matariel,
Welcome to the forum!
What a gift! Beeswax is amazing for crafting, there is so much you can do with it once it’s refined. I haven’t done the filtration process before, but I was working with beeswax the other day to make some homemade beeswax candles.
The smell of warm beeswax is divine
Thanks for sharing the beautiful video- I hope that, however you choose to use your new beeswax, it serves you well! Enjoy!
@matariel Hello and welcome I’m Tracy. Welcome to this beautiful coven Thankyou for sharing, really interesting
Thank you for your compliment! I plan to make some skincare products and candles with beeswax.
My current plan is to use the beeswax to make some skincare products and candles, but this is just my idea at this stage, there might be other uses in the future.
Hello, @Amethyst! Thanks for the warm welcome and well wishes for my beeswax!
Your experience sounds truly interesting! The process of making antique solid perfume must have been full of learning and exploration. Even though the results might not have been what you expected, I truly appreciate your innovation and adventurous spirit. The preservative you mentioned is a great suggestion, and I will consider using it in my beeswax project. Thanks for sharing!
Hello, thank you for your kind words and the warm welcome! I’m excited to be a part of this loving community.
Thank you!

That sounds really cool! I hope you’ll share the rest of the process with us I’ve used beeswax before in some salves, but not anything else!
