Being a witch with adhd

Looking for suggestions, please. I’d love to have an ADHD coach. How the heck would I go about searching for one who is also a witch?

Hello @sheri, Finding an ADHD coach is half the battle. I found much of my ADHD support and understanding from Pinterest. Just type ADHD. Simple, detailed and visual. The witch part is more difficult, that is why I started this post. As you see I zoom in and out of the forum for days or weeks at a time. That’s ok. I come back, as there is an amazing support and wealth of witchy knowledge here. First, the more you understand about your type of ADHD and what strategies work in your life, you can then extend it to the craft. Don’t feel bad if you do something once in a while or not consistently. Since I spend a few more minutes in the bathroom getting ready in the morning, I created a small altar on a shelf. Even if it’s a little candle or incent that reminds you to practice gratitude for the day. I have my oracle cards there too and pull one card when I still have a minute to spare. That’s it. My brain has a hard time with journaling of big spreads. The more I learn about ADHD and strategies I incorporate them and combine with what I already do. Not a day goes by without me needing my coffee, so I hold it for a moment and set my intention. I hope this can start the guided process for you?

Great topic I’m not one of those that like labels, I was curious :face_with_monocle: and they say curiosity kills a cat! Well that’s true for me but I have nine lives! I just didn’t fit into the :package:
ADHD category

Me too I actually made it to tea time meditation so I’m glad I showed up for myself!! And others too but that’s part of the battle!

Yes i’m working on two of my hyper fixations. One is Hecate’s wheel. I don’t know why, but you know I have been working on this for several years now and everything could be Hecates wheel :wheel: lol :squinting_face_with_tongue:

Me too so I did this great Hypnosis today. I will share with you. Maybe you should try it. It really helps.

So anyhow, I’m starting all over!!! really upsets me because I want it to be perfect, and I struggle with perfection!! I just figured out how to make it perfect but it’s a process and I just wanna give up!! I guess I’ll just trust the process!! bing Bata boom :collision:

What really helps me in grounds me is nature! What really helps me is connecting to the craft and learning why the craft helps? Good place to visit!!

See I’m working on my book of mirrors! Yeah buddy, know thy self !
Is thy spelt with a y?? See we are a working progress
And why do they people? Why do they call it autistic? Why don’t they just call it artistic?

It’s said that diagnosis is important because neurodivergent people are like zebras who grow up among horses. We constantly think we’re not as good at being horses as other horses, when in reality we’re simply not horses. That’s all there is to it. Neurodiversity, after all, is a spectrum, even if you don´t fit into the ADHD category, there are so many more.

As witches, we’re more like unicorns anyway, aren’t we? This has the advantage that we don’t have to compare ourselves to horses or zebras, and (sometimes) the disadvantage that we have to find our own way off the beaten track. That can be exhausting at times.

So just always look at what works for you and follow it. I don’t know how you experience it, but for me, it used to be often associated with guilt and shame that I couldn’t be like everyone else. That I couldn’t always perform at the push of a button, something that seemed to be no problem for everyone else (especially at school), that my home isn’t always so well-organized, and that sometimes creative chaos takes over.

Today I don’t care, no, I’m even proud to be a unicorn. Even though our herd is small, we are still the most colorful, magical, glittering, creative, and open-minded herd there is. :sparkles: :purple_heart:
