Beltane Fire Blessing Spell

Beltane Fire Blessing Spell

:cherry_blossom: Purpose:
To celebrate life, ignite passion, and bless your coming months with abundance, love, and creativity.

:herb: You Will Need:

  • A small candle (red, orange, or gold)
  • Fresh flowers or flower petals
  • A bowl of clean water
  • A stick of cinnamon or a few sprigs of rosemary (for fire and purification)
  • A small piece of paper and pen

:sun_with_face: Timing:
At dusk or nightfall on April 30th or May 1st.

Spell Instructions:

  1. Create a sacred space.
Set your items on a table, altar, or even outside. Arrange the candle in the center, surrounded by flowers, the bowl of water, and your herb.
  2. Ground yourself.
Close your eyes, take three deep breaths, and feel your connection to the earth beneath you and the sky above you.
  3. Light the candle.
As you light it, say: “I kindle this flame in honor of Beltane, In joy, in love, in sacred flame.
Let life renew, let passion rise, Under the blossoming Beltane skies.”
  4. Bless the water.
Dip your fingers into the bowl and sprinkle a few drops around you, saying:
“Water to cleanse, to bless, to renew, I welcome the life force in all that I do.”
  5. Infuse the herb.
Hold the cinnamon stick or rosemary over the candle flame (carefully, without burning it), and say: “Spice of life, breath of fire, Ignite my soul with pure desire.”
  6. Write your intention.
On the piece of paper, write one wish for the coming season — for yourself or for the world (e.g., “abundance,” “love,” “creativity,” “healing”).
  7. Release it.
Pass the paper briefly over the candle flame (do not set it fully aflame; just warm it) and say:
“As the fire transforms, so too shall I. With Beltane’s blessings, I rise and fly.”Then, bury the paper under a tree, in your garden, or place it under a plant in your home.
  8. Close the rite.
Thank the elements and spirits you feel present. Let the candle burn safely down or snuff it out respectfully.

:sparkles: Optional: Dance, sing, or jump over a (safely small) flame afterward — an ancient Beltane tradition!
