🔥 Beltane Fire Jumping Spell: “Leap of Flame, Heart of Spring”

Fire Jumping is a traditional Beltane ritual symbolizing purification, renewal, passion, and the spark of new beginnings.

Here’s a safe, poetic, and spiritually rooted spell you can use during your Beltane celebration:

You will need:

  • A small, safely contained fire (campfire, fire pit, or even a large candle if indoors or space is limited)
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary, thyme, or lavender (for blessing)
  • A ribbon or cord (to tie wishes or intentions)
  • Optional: a partner to jump with, or to hold space for you

Cast your circle and take a few grounding breaths. Speak aloud or in your heart:

“On this night of Beltane bright,
I honor fire, passion, and light.
Flame of life, and sun reborn,
I leap with joy this Beltane morn.”

Hold the herbs in your hand and speak:

“Blessed herbs of earth and flame,
Cleanse my soul and speak my name.
As I leap, I leave behind
All that weighs and clouds my mind.”

Tie your ribbon or cord with your intentions, wishes, or affirmations. Then speak:

“With this knot, my will is clear.
I leap with hope, not doubt or fear.
May love and growth around me grow,
As above, so below.”

Now jump (or symbolically pass near) the fire while saying:

“By flame and flight, by spark and song,
I leap into where I belong.
With open heart and spirit free,
I welcome all that’s meant for me.”

After the jump, take a moment of silence or dance, chant, drum, or share joy with others. Thank the fire. Close your circle.

“The fire burns, the wheel turns,
In love and light, the witch returns.”

I won’t be leaping over a physical bonfire anytime soon, but I am up for jumping over a symbolic one! This is a lovely spell and chant for the sabbat. Thank you very much for sharing it, SilverBear - blessed Beltane! :fire: :sparkles:
