What you’ll need:
- A red or black candle (use a chime candle)
- A small bowl of water
- A pinch of salt
- A small piece of paper
- A pen
- Optional: obsidian, garnet, or moonstone
Create the Current
Begin by settling into a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. Take three deep cleansing breaths. Inhaling deeply. Holding for a moment and exhaling long and slow.
Begin to imagine roots growing from your spine, deep into mother earth. This is your foundation.
Place the bowl of water in front of you.
Add the salt and stir clockwise with your finger, saying:
“Waters of the Moon, awaken with me. Blood Moon rising, power I feel. What is mine by destiny. Strengthen, stir, and flow to me.”
Light your candle.
Name What You Are Calling In
On the paper, write ONE thing you are actively stepping into. Not “I want…” — but:
“I embody…”
“I command…”
“I rise as…”
“I am becoming…”
Be bold. Eclipse energy responds to certainty.
Fold the paper once toward you.
Charge & Claim
Hold the folded paper between your palms. Visualize the red lunar glow pouring into you — not above you, not outside you — but inside your bloodstream, your spine, your Sacral and Solar Plexus centers.
Say three times: “By shadowed Moon and crimson light, I claim my power in full sight. What I call is now in motion —Sealed in fire, sealed in ocean.”
Pass the paper briefly over the candle flame. DO NOT catch it on fire! USE CAUTION!
Touch it to the bowl of water for a moment.
Seal It
Place the paper under the candle until the candle fully burns down.
Extinguish the candle (don’t blow it out — snuff it if you can).
Say: “It is awakened. It is active. It is mine.”
This is not a gentle moon. It magnifies what you choose to embody. Go in clear. Go in steady. Go in sovereign.
Place the water that is in the bowl, inside a mason jar. Label it and use it in other spellwork.
throw out any remaining candle bits. Be sure its cool. Do not start fires witches!
