Notes:

Substitutions:

Cold Brew Coffee - Feel free to use strongly brewed and well-chilled conventional coffee or French press espresso if needed.

Whole Milk - You’re welcome to swap in any percentage of dairy milk or any variety of plain or vanilla plant-based milk that you prefer.

Caramel Sauce - Try using butterscotch sauce for a fun twist on the caramel ribbon.

Xanthan Gum - Guar gum is the closest substitute—use an equal amount. Ground flaxseed meal or ground chia seeds are also relatively good 1:1 alternatives.

Whipped Cream - Frozen whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip) or whipped coconut cream can also be used.

Toffee Bits - Crushed butterscotch bits, finely chopped pecan pralines, or maple sugar chunks are good and crunchy with flavors that would meld well with the caramel sauce. You can also omit the toffee if you don’t mind missing out on the crunch.

Ice - For an extra bump of caffeine and bold coffee flavor, try using coffee ice cubes.
