Perhaps you can find what you are looking for in the courses?
The last one on the list is Seasons of Magick. It is an ongoing collection of holidays and practices. @Francisco is continually adding to it, so if you don’t find it there yet, check back.
The Wiccan Sabbats are over until early February, but stick around for more in between and keep checking out new posts for ideas. The Spell a Day page is handy.
It can be hard to learn how to celebrate the sabbats if you’ve never done anything like them before. The good thing about the Wiccan sabbats is they follow a fairly straightforward pattern. There are eight in total, pretty evenly spaced out throughout the year. They follow the journey of the Sun through the sky, relating this journey back to the God in Wicca. Four of the sabbats are based on the older Celtic Fire Festivals (Imbolg, Bealtaine, Lughnasadh, and Samhain) and the other four sabbats are based around the solstices and equinoxes (Spring/Autumn Equinox and Summer/Winter Solstice).
There is one lesson in particular that you might find helpful for learning the Wheel of the Year.
After that, it’s all about experiencing the seasons and honoring the celebration. The newest course was already mentioned, but we also have several posts for each sabbat on the main site and here in the forum. Currently, we are all finishing up our Solstice celebrations. Every time a sabbat comes around, I share a post in A Sacred Space with ideas for the sabbat celebrations and to act as a space to share our plans with each other.
What do you have available? I don’t imagine you have a bunch of trees to choose from. White for purity of focus. Any lights placed on its branches will reflect the lights’ color, so lighting can change with intentions. Green for vitality and health- disappears in the dark so the lights look more like stars.
My Yule tree is a rainbow in honor of a memory of walking/driving through the colors of a rainbow while traveling through North Carolina after my father crossed the rainbow bridge. Mom said everything would be OK. Thus, the rainbow is a color of hope and healing for me.
i wanted to do a black tree with the rainobow and white Lights and i dont have alot trees and i cant have real tree due to my husband being allergic to pine and cedar 99% of trees where we live lol. but i like black because to me it make the lights stand out more.
Nope, it doesn’t matter at all! A lot of people choose green because they have live trees or because green is the easiest to get. There’s also a connection between Evergreens and the concept of life in the darkness. But if you want something different, there is no harm in choosing something that fits better for you!
