In a small bowl, mix together melted butter and the garlic herb blend included in the biscuit mix. Brush over the baked biscuits. Sprinkle dill weed on top.
Notes:
Buttermilk Substitute: If you don’t have buttermilk on hand, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar to 3/4 cup of regular milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
Cheese Variations: While cheddar is classic, feel free to mix things up by using sharp cheddar, pepper jack, or even a blend of your favorite cheeses.
Herb Substitutions: Dried parsley, oregano, or even rosemary can be substituted for dill if you prefer a different flavor profile.
Crispy Edges: If you love a crispy edge on your biscuits, try baking them in a preheated cast-iron skillet.
If you want to make the biscuit mix from scratch, combine 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Optional: add 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning.
Storage:
Room Temperature: These biscuits can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
Refrigerator: If you want them to last longer, store them in the fridge for up to 5 days. Just warm them up in the oven before serving.
Freezer: You can also freeze the biscuits for up to 3 months. Thaw them in the fridge overnight and warm them up in the oven or microwave before enjoying.
