Hi, I did a cord cutting over a year ago and have been wondering how to interpret it all ever since, because I’ve never had a spell go like this before. It started burning normally with mine burning down slightly slower than his, until it switched up and his then was going down much, much slower. I get that part of it and all of that ended up being spot on, but this is where I start to have no idea what it meant. Out of nowhere, part my candle seemed to melt/fall over in a flaming blob off the thing I had them on sitting on my carpet (idk what’s wrong with my brain either lol) and the whole thing burned up so quick, before I could put it out, that it burned a hole through the carpet and singed the floor. Then his kept burning for a sec after mine went out.

That is a pretty dramatic end to the spell! Sorry about your carpet.
When it comes to possible interpretations, I like to work through the mundane before I explore the magickal. Was there any way the candle was tilted/off balance before this happened? Or was there a gust of wind that might have blown it over? If not and you feel it was part of the spell, then I’d say it’s worth digging deeper.
It sounds like your candle “collapsed” at the end of the spell. Seeing how it’s a cord cutting and this candle was representing you, looking in from the outside, I might interpret this to mean that the act of release may feel like a collapse to you. Letting go may involve a lot of exhausting and painful feelings, but that will be what ends the bond. You would then be free to rise up again, free and renewed. Just my thoughts on the table!

@tierra Merry Meet, my thoughts are that both your part of the cord and candle were burning faster as your energies during the ritual were emotionally charged and the ties were strong and the sudden volatile release caused your candle to fall over into a flaming bomb. I think your spell has worked I am sorry for the damage to your carpet and floor though.
