Crafting Bridget crosses for Imbolc

Hi there,

I look forward to Imbolc every year. It’s time to make Bridget crosses. I love to go on a wintery walk and collect reeds. I use Juncus patens, a speading reed that grows up here in the northwest. After my little ritual and crafting session I take down the old ones and burn them, I put one cross above every doorway and I will put the big one over the fireplace. Thus renew my devotion to Bridget and ask for her protection from fires and bad things. Here’s what I made this year.

I would love to see if anyone took pictures from their Imbolc ceremony.

Please post.

Thanks for sharing.

Leo.

Your crosses are great! I’m not sure what we have here that would work for them, but I got one in my Sabbat subscription box from Writual Planner this year.

Here’s a photo of my Imbolc altar and also my Brigid’s Cross over the hearth.

Your crosses are beautiful! I like the colorful ribbons on the corners. And that huge one is extra fun! I don’t think I’ve seen a cross that big before, I love it
