Decorating for the season

Hey everyone,

I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but I am already eager to start adding festive touches to my space. I found this website on Pinterest and it had some really creative ideas so I thought I’d share.

Neat! Thanks! My Mom would have loved stuff like this. She was the crafty one in my family. I glued my fingers together while putting Rudolf’s face on his butt. LOL!

There’s some great ideas here! I like the knot talisman - it’s very elegant and makes a nice ornament.

Thanks for sharing, @AileyGrey!

I’ve been trying to slowly collect decorations since moving, but I’m a pretty frugal person  and sometimes, decorations are expensive! When I’m out of school, I want to make a bunch of my own. I’ve even been playing with the idea of making a Christmas bow garland as a countdown to Christmas thing, if that makes sense.

We used to have this little calendar when I was a kid with 24 pockets and a Christmas tree. Each pocket had a stuffed little figure with Velcro on the back. When that day was over, we would take the figure out of its pocket and put it on the tree. On Christmas morning, we would have a cute decorated tree on the calendar and it was a fun countdown we did every year. I don’t know what happened to it, or if my mom even still has it, but I want to do something like that again.

Anyway, I did buy this cute decoration for my front door the other day! It’s not ‘witchy’ but it makes me happy, so I’m counting it lol

That’s what matters! Make yourself happy during the season and end of the year - I agree, it’s cute, and looks good enough to eat. But I digress. :joy:

Thank you :joy: I don’t actually have a lot of decorations. I never really have, but it’s been a goal of mine to have more decorations now that we bought a house two years ago. But I’m slowly working on collecting decorations, as well as doing some repainting and whatnot in my house.

I feel like I need to do that before I can start hanging stuff on the wall or decorating with other things, because I don’t want to hang stuff or decorate if I’m just going to have to take it down when I paint or make repairs or whatever. But it is slowly coming along, and this little gingerbread man bow thing made me happy and smile, so I bought it to hang on my door :sparkling_heart:
