Dream interpretation, anyone?

Since I was young, I have sometimes had dreams that are prophetic. They always start the same, with a bright white light, and then the dream, which then ends with the same bright light. Anytime that I have had a dream like this, it has come true. In fact, it one time saved my life as it showed me in a devastating wreck, which I was able to avoid when that day came and I remembered all of the signs leading up to it.

That being said, I have had one reoccuring dream that has not yet happened, but it was different from the others in that it feels more prophetic than the others which were much more regular life feeling/vibe. This dream has occured at least 10 times, and although it may vary slightly, it is almost the same every time. I cannot figure out what this dream is trying to tell me. The dream comes at different times in my life, so it is not tied to me specifically or to any even happening in my life.

This is the dream:
Starts with the bright white light and then opens on to a huge field, almost park like, as it is shorter grass and not necessarily flowy fields. There are gently rolling hills at the edge, but my POV is from the grassy field which is like a valley. Maybe 100 yards from me is a very large, blue lake. It is relatively calm. Just a gente breeze is blowing. I am on a blanket, picnic style, with people who feel like family/friends. There are at least 50 other groups of people also sitting picnic style dotted across this field and near the lake. It is very peaceful. I notice then, that there are children of all ages, barely crawling infant up to teenagers, who get up from their blanket, take off all of their clothes, and start walking toward the lake. More and more children start walking over the hills and down into the valley towards us and the lake, all naked. No one is batting an eye or even seeming to notice except for me. At first I am watching in curiosity, but then it turns to anxiety and dread as I see the first of the children approach the lapping water of the lake. They keep walking. Straight into the lake until they disappear from sight. All of them. The babies crawl deeper into the lake. The teens just walk and never stop. I never see them resurface. Everytime when I stand up to run to them or start to scream warnings or try to get the adults to respond, the bright light appears and the dream is over.

I have become less traumatized to it, but it still shakes me to my core after I wake up from it. What do you think this dream is trying to tell me? Am I failing in some way to save them? Any and all help or wisdom is MUCH appreciated as this dream bothers me so much!

Hmmm… the setting seems relaxed and idyllic, and you’re surrounded by loved ones and friendly strangers alike. But then there’s this strange and surprising march of the children… into their death it seems… :slightly_frowning_face: Nudity in dreams usually represents honesty, showing up as one is without any cover-up with roles and such.

The others in the dream either don’t seem worried, or don’t see what’s happening. Maybe it could be worth asking them about it. When we’re reacting differently to things around us than others, it usually means we’re seeing a completely different picture. I don’t think you’re failing to save the children, you’re doing everything in your power to do just that. Do the children need saving? What is the bright light, and why is it getting in your way? There’s a lot of questions…

The good thing about it being a reoccurring dream is that you can try again, and eventually get to the bottom of things. Even if things go horribly wrong, they reset for the next iteration. You might be able to find a way to change something, or it could be something that you need to accept as such. Reoccurring nightmares usually have something that they need to tell you, something that’s stuck that needs to move. Usually where the strongest emotions are, that’s the hint to what needs addressing.

Something I might try… calmly watching the scene from beginning to end, breathing deeply, accepting things as they go. It might be that that’s already enough, or you might notice something that you haven’t noticed before. Try asking the others in the dream if they are seeing the same thing that you’re seeing.

As to the dreams coming true… there might be something regarding your feelings about the younger generations and their future. Things are looking pretty uncertain in the world right now (to put it mildly), and there’s a lot of fear and division. I know I’m numb to so much of it already, and spend most of my days pretending it’s not happening just to keep some shreds of my mental health. We can’t do much about the state of the whole world, but we have some influence to what’s happening right around us. Let’s try to keep each other safe and tell that we love each other, and keep doing small good things. It’s pretty much all that we can do, but it adds up.

Sending you lots of love @tory, and I hope some of this might be helpful to you :people_hugging:

Thank you so much! I will try that next time. Observing more and talking to those around me is a great idea. I wondered about the nudity representing honesty. Thanks again for your insight!

Ok. I’m curious. What’s at the bottom of the lake? The kids seem to hear or see something better than the idyllic picnic or ease of life. Could it be something inspiring them to a better life than what they see around them in some way? Would it be helpful to follow them?
