The other night I had a dream about La LLarona. I am not Mexican, I am white as they come. Meaning I am super pale and have red hair. Any ideas as to why I would dream of such an entity? I haven’t even watched a TV show with her in it. I know what she is about as I have come across her in the past but that just in passing.

Dreams can be messages, from deities, spirits or guides. They can be portals, gateways to the spirit realm. They can be the surface manifestations of your unconscious mind.
I don’t believe in random dreams though. Perhaps this a spirit trying to warn you of something?

Hmm. La Llorona warns people of flash floods. Stay out of ditches and dry river beds in the desert. Following such ditches and beds may be an easier way to travel, but you never know when the water might wash you away. Could she be trying to tell you to get to higher ground, both metaphorically and physically? It sounds like something big is coming in your life.
