Hello all!
So of course everyone knows how powerful and protective eggs shells are, I’m hoping!
Down here where I live, the geckos get really freakishly HUGE. I’m terrified of them. I just seen a snake with legs, and just this past week, in less than 4 days apart; I seen 2 different water moccasins in the front of my house. First one was a full grown adult. Of course I went outside in sandals and in the dark with no light, to turn on my water hose. I’m a couyon! I know! I said to myself "was there anything already on the ground that was thick and squiggly? " That’s when I realized NOPE!! Because it started slithering. 
Water moccasins and cotton mouths are the same exact snake, venomous, water and land snake. They’re no longer than 2 1/2- 3’. The diameter is about the size of a fire hose. They’re very aggressive. The baby snakes are even more aggressive and more venomous. Only because they don’t know how to control their venom dispense. They also have been video’ed chasing people. If you’re in a pirogue and you see a snake swim up to you in the bayou, that’s definitely a water moccasin and it’s definitely coming to get in your boat to bite you! They’re a menace! Anyways, the second snake I saw was a baby cotton mouth. I spooked it and made it jump back behind a water cooler. Good thing I had my rubber cowboy boots on. I watched it slither where I previously stood, and called my husband to come handle the snake. I don’t like hurting anything but to be honest, this is southern louisiana, and as a Cajun, our motto is, if we can hunt it, we can eat it. I am already refraining myself from asking y’all some questions I can really only ask other cajuns because I’m sure none of y’all have ever eaten rattlesnake. I hear it taste like chicken. Gator definitely taste like chicken.
Ok enough mindless rambling 
The point of this is to say if you take some egg shells, not crushed up, and put them outside your doors, the geckos will think it’s snake eggs and won’t get inside your house.
