Elen of the Ways

Has anyone worked with Elen of the Ways? I’ve been seeing a ton of deer this year and I recently discovered Welsh ancestry in my family tree. I think she’s been trying to communicate with me but I don’t know much about her.

I am of Welsh ancestry as well. Thank you for this opportunity to study!

I have not as yet watched these, but this is what a Bing search brought up for me. Google tends to find other references.

(Origin of a female Santa Claus)

I’m not Welsh but am English living in England and this is fabulous, thankyou for sharing this. Wales has such a unique and individual history and spirituality that is solely Welsh - will enjoy learning all about this.

Here’s a few links, I hope they’re international.

Thank you @tracyS

One of the Welsh deities I have befriended is Gwynn ap Nudd. It will be interesting to find out if more of the Welsh deities would be interested in being friends. I may have closer blood ties via the Driver clan than I imagined! I’m excited.

I’ve heard of Elen of the Ways but, to be honest, there’s not much known or written about her. @georgia has given you some amazing resources and a place to start. In my searching, I found a book that might help. I haven’t read it, but I’ve seen it mentioned in my cursory searches for Elen of the Ways.

This book is written by the author of one of the posts Georgia already linked, so it may be worth checking out, too.

A recent witchy subscription box had Elen of the Ways as the inspiration. It came with a neat wand and grimoire pages. I’ll try to remember to get photos of both in the morning for you (and poke me if I don’t) @danika !

I’m interested, too @Artemisia! Poke poke.

I did the meditation, last night. There wasn’t much to it. I don’t feel there was much of an answer, but we are strangers, yet.

Thanks for this! I had already forgotten between last night and this morning!

The wand has roots and branches carved in to symbolize her connection with the woods. The stone is supposed to be amber and there’s a quartz in the end.
