Hi guys,

Just wanted to share the glimpse of the first embroidery attempt I did.

It’s so cute! And you did the plants, especially those at the top, well. Impressive. :black_heart:

What are your plans for it? Would you like to make a pillow or an altar cloth or frame it as a wall hanging? Just curious. It is a beautiful piece. Good job.

@georgia just making one piece at a time. Maybe frame it or make a table cloth.

How pretty! Those knots are tricky. My mom tried to teach me and I could never get the hang of it.

These are beautiful, @KhanjanB!

Embroidery is tricky- I’ve tried it a few times, but I always seem to poke my fingertips with the needle and get frustrated

You’ve got a real talent for it! Enjoy your beautiful pieces

That’s an amazing job for your first embroidery! It looks amazing! I know some basic stitches and I’ve made a few things myself, but this is wonderful  :bird:

I definitely will! Honestly, the only one I have a picture of is the Brighid’s Cross I did a few years ago. I did a lot of embroidery when I was younger and part of an organization called Job’s Daughters. Every year, we each created a quilt square that we had to embroider the entire design. I don’t have any pictures of those, unfortunately, but I hope to continue embroidery sometime soon!

Here’s the Brighid’s Cross!

I think I will make some more of these. I want to figure out a way to crochet them, too! Crochet is the fiber art that I’m more comfortable with
