Feast of Tailtiu - Foster Mom of Celtic God Lugh

Hi Lovely Witches,

I just wanted to share this information I just found on Pinterest about the Goddess Tailtiu since today is her Feast. Tailtiu is the Celtic God Lugh’s Foster Mom.

Ohh, I’m so happy to see Tailtiu getting some love! :pink_heart: :yellow_heart: She’s often forgotten in the wider pagan community when it comes to Lughnasadh!

@MeganB I figured as much! This year will be my first Lughnasadh :ear_of_corn::sheaf_of_rice::bouquet:.

I love Celtic Deities though, and I know you do too :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::hugs::purple_heart::sparkles:.

@MeganB I thought you’d like to see my Ritual for Tailtiu :ear_of_corn::sheaf_of_rice::bouquet::sparkles::hugs::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::purple_heart:

That’s beautiful! :yellow_heart: I hope the ritual was lovely for both you and her!

As a side note if you want to learn more about her, I have a video about her on YouTube
with more sources in the video description :pink_heart:

She’s one of those goddesses that gets lost in the shadows of the more popular and well-known deities. She’s super important, though, because without her stories (and her death!) we wouldn’t have the celebration of Lughnasadh.

@MeganB oh Thank you so much! I am going to watch that right this minute! She was here is full force last night! The candles stayed lit for two hours and were still burning full force. It was past my bedtime and I had to tell Tailtiu that I had to blow out the candles, but that I would love if she continued to stay with me :hugs::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:.

Quick question, how did you share the video with just text? And how do you share other posts with just text in another post? I tried to do it last night and failed miserably :joy:

You’re very welcome! It can be hard to wade through information about Celtic deities because of the misinformation that gets shared about them, so I’m happy to share resources and stuff whenever I can! Another great source of information on Irish folklore, mythology, and beliefs is Lora O’Brien, founder of the Irish Pagan School :green_heart:

Oh, that’s simple! I just realized that we have a tutorial for sharing general links, but not for making text show up as a link, so I’ll have to remedy that today. In the meantime, you can do it very easily right here in the text editor.

Click the button that looks like a chain link.

That will open a pop-up that lets you type in the link and the link text.

It will also let you search for a topic in the forum to include as a link.

Then, once you’ve got your link typed in there and the text you want to appear, just click “Insert” and it will show right up! When it’s inserted into the text editor, it looks like this.

[How to Use and Edit a Wiki Post! [Forum Tutorial]](https://forum.spells8.com/t/how-to-use-and-edit-a-wiki-post-forum-tutorial/61023)

The text for the link goes between the brackets [] and the URL goes right next to it between the parentheses ().
