Floralia Spell

This is a wonderful-looking little spell I got from a book called 365 Days of Crystal Magic by Sandra Kynes. It’s a great book that I’m really enjoying, and it’s making me want to buy even more crystals! Some I’ve never heard of!

But I thought I’d share this one. I hope you like it!

Floralia Spell from 365 Days of Crystal Magic by Sandra Kynes

The Roman celebration of Floralia, which took place around this time of year, was named for Flora, the goddess of spring and flowers. Celebration at this festival of fertility was usually expressed through sexual practices.

This is a good time to call on Flora for spells involving love, lust, and fertility. Use green jasper for fertility, pink jasper for love, and carnelian for lust. All of these crystals can be combined with a few drops of rose essential oil for an extra boost.

Flora was regarded as the female counterpart

and complement to Faunus, the Roman god of fertility

and nature. Not surprisingly, the Latin term “flora and fauna” refers to plant and animal life.

@Amethyst thank you for the recommendation. Crystals are so beautiful, and what draws me to them is that they are formed in the Earth :globe_showing_europe_africa:. If I may suggest that when buying a crystal ensure that is genuine as some online (if you buy that way) especially Selenite as this is very similar to Satin Spar but they are different - Selenite is more rare :waxing_gibbous_moon::green_heart:

It’s a wonderful book, I just wish it would use some of the more common stones. I may have to do some spells with a different one.

Always love the lore of a festival, and I appreciate the crystal recommendations! I have rose petals but I wonder if I have any rose essential oil left … time to check the shelves  :rose:

Thank you Amethyst and happy Floralia! :cherry_blossom:
