A full moon happens when the moon is directly opposite the sun from the Earth. This means that the side of the moon facing Earth is fully illuminated by the sun, making it appear as a complete circle of light in the night sky.
As with anything in witchcraft, there are many different beliefs on what type of magick should be done during a Full Moon. Some witches believe banishing spells are best. Others focus on setting intentions for manifestations. Still, others (such as myself) believe that the Full Moon is the best time for literally any spell you want because the energy is at its highest.
During the Full Moon, the Triple Goddess becomes the Mother of all beings. It’s a great time to work on intuition, spells of love, and prosperity. The Full Buck Moon 
In the Northern Hemisphere, this moon is known as the Buck Moon. During July, and this season in general, our antlered friends are growing a new pari of antlers, showing their age and maturity. Did you know that male deer shed their antlers every year? During Spring, a new set of antlers grows bigger and more impressive than the last year. You can tell how old a buck is by the size of its antlers!
Some other names for this moon include Feather Moulting Moon and Salmon Moon. As always, feel free to give the moon a name that fits your region!
The Full Wolf Moon 
In the Southern Hemisphere, you might know this as the Full Wolf Moon! This is the time of year that is cold, dark, and gloomy – wolves howl and make noise to let their pack know where they are. Wolves are all about community, and that is the energy of the Full Wolf Moon, too.
Some alternative names for the Full Wolf Moon include the Full Snow Moon and the Full Bear Moon. These may not resonate with where you live, so feel free to choose a Full Moon name that makes sense for your region!
The Sign of Capricorn
As the tenth sign of the zodiac, Capricorn is represented by the Sea Goat. It is a Cardinal Earth sign and is ruled by the planet Saturn. Capricorns bring about a sense of maturity and wisdom. They are the “old soul” of the zodiac with a tendency to be more serious than their fellow signs. Capricorn has the drive to succeed and achieve goals in an efficient manner, focusing on staying organized and reaching the end of their projects. Their serious nature means they often work well under pressure, staying focused and getting things done. They aren’t all serious, though, as Capricorns are also very selfless, choosing to lend a hand to those in need whenever they can.
