Getting my mojo back

OK guys, I need help. I think I lost my mojo. I’m usually not like this. Now although im no expert or anything remotely close, i do have my altar, wand, all my crystals, book of shadows, etc. And even though it wasnt every night(or week sometimes for that matter), i still kept my practices alive. Charge my crystals, make my moon water, do my spellwork. And it could be all the negative stuff in the word being thrown our way every single day, i just seem to have lost my mojo. Of course i dont always have time for anything with my 3 kids(i recently got them back)let alone, alone time lol, but ive tried really hard to set aside time when theyre asleep to meditate and do anything i feel i need to do for myself and/or my shadow work. Its just like someone came in and took that part from me. Turned a ligh switch off or something. I want it back, its my mojo.

@tasha89 Hello lovely. Sorry to hear your mojos gone. The mundane of life can do that. It saps our energy. Tires us out. Jobs, family responsibilities , it’s alot. I find when that happens to me, I simplify my magical life till I get back on top. (I also turn off the news). The Spells8 app is great for this. Each morning I do the simple Wiccan morning prayer (even though I’m not Wiccan) and each night the evening Wiccan prayer. Sometimes I’ll do the Lunar spell. Then I’ll increase to the daily ritual. All on the main page of the app, under menu. They’re short, simple rituals that can help get us back into spirit and refresh our souls. Take care Lovely. Sending love n light. Blessed be :sparkling_heart::kissing_heart:

It sounds as if you’re burnt out. This is usually a time for rest and self-care. Meditation, just finding yourself in the moment can help. Just take a step back and take care of yourself.

Here’s a link to a previous discussion about Burn Out on the forum. How to Deal with Spiritual Burn Outs. And here is a really good video with tips on what to do:

Anyhow, I hope this helps you! Sending you healing vibes!

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way @tasha89

I can’t say anything more or better than @tracyS and @Amethyst have already said. I just popped in to tell you that you are not alone.

Also “Nope, not working. Any other suggestions?” is perfectly acceptable :slightly_smiling_face:

I agree with @tracyS @Amethyst & @Nixi
You sound overwhelmed and burned-out.
So, consider stirring things up in a productive & cheery way.
For example, is it possible for you to introduce your children to the craft?
Or, try something new, like Chaos Magick or dragons or what have you… something new & thrilling.
Or, simply give yourself the time you need to rest.
Your excitement and eagerness will return either way

Take good care of you :kissing_heart:

Hi @tasha89,

First things first- a big virtual hug to you :people_hugging: :two_hearts: Many people go through phases of burnout or exhaustion in their practice (myself included!), but even knowing you’re not alone still doesn’t mean it isn’t difficult. I know it can be really frustrating to feel disconnected from your Craft.

There are a lot of great suggestions shared already, so I just want to add to take it slow- if trying to keep up with a routine is causing you stress, then set aside your schedule and expectations for now. Find small, easy and quick ways to recognize your Craft during the day. Draw a little circle with your fingers, or write a rune (like Algiz, for protection: :algiz:) in the air. Acknowledge the changing seasons or pick a flower and put it on display- all of these small things are moments of connection.

Your desire to get back into your Craft is a seed- nurture it here and there, and know that the magick has never left you. Your motivation will spark up again when the time is right :heart_on_fire:

Lots of love and many blessings!
