Hey. I live in the Tri-cities in Michigan, USA. I’m 56 years old in about 2 weeks. I’ve practiced magick off and on for decades. Right now, I’m using it as an atheist in need of a self-brainwashing technique. It’s been very effective for me in the past.
My interests are wide and varied, from high ceremonial magick to kitchen herbalism. Whatever works is good
It has in the past. For example, someone else somewhere else in these forums is asking about gratitude spells so I thought, hmmmm. Gratitude makes people happier. I have some upcoming stresses I’m expecting in October (I’m getting a roommate.) and being happier going into that can only help the process.
So I made a quick “gratitude spell” here, too. I got a photo album I bought at Salvation Army to turn into a scrapbook. It needs all of the plastic sheeting removed. I turned on some quiet instrumental music and thought about what it was even like to BE grateful while removing plastic. I have that energy in my home now.
Merry meet @penny4 ! Glad to have you with us! I’m from Minnesota. I’ve been practicing many different aspects of the craft for 35+ years. Currently I mostly work with chaos magick and voodoo.
Look forward to getting to know you better! Feel free to join in any conversations you see!
It definitely is very useful! It’s my favorite way too practice. Also the reason I cannot say I’m a true voodooist. Voodoo has a lot of strict rules. I practice some of the aspects of voodoo (dolls, poppets, occasional hex) but don’t follow the strict guidelines. Chaos magick is more useful in a lot of the other spells I do.
I’ve some of your other lovely posts in the forum, but it looks like I missed your introduction! Apologies - it’s a pleasure to meet you
I’m Bry, one of the moderators and a fellow kitchen herbalism enthusiast. Kitchen witchery and herbal magick go so wonderfully together, and the results can be so delicious!
Hope you’ve been finding everything you need. Make yourself at home here! Blessed be
I enjoy it a lot and I hope you’ll find exploring it fun too!
You may have already come across it, but if not, there’s a cute little Kitchen Witchery guide on the site with some fun kitchen magick ideas. I’ll drop it here for anyone interested:
