Greetings from Oregon!

Thanks again for the kind replies, everyone. I’ve been checking out the site and lessons a little bit this week and just trying to take things in.

Lady Gene, hi! I will check out the tarot read sometime, thank you for sharing that with me. And oh I love and miss nice tall palm trees… I used to live in AZ, some people do grow them up here but they are not the same. Growing things in the desert is a whole other game for sure though!

wow Katharina, magic through art making sounds like a wonderful practice and art therapy sounds like a very fulfilling career.
I love working on pages and collecting things in my book of shadows too, and I try to repurpose or make tools for myself if I can, but I haven’t considered art through the magical lense or magic through just making art as much as I probably should!

Hello Bry, thank you for the welcome. I have to say I’ve never tried cornflower in tea before!
thanks for the wishes for my trip, I am planning to go this coming week as the weather clears up.

Amethyst, hello, you have great taste in tea! And captains!
No, none of our cats have ever chased our chickens. They rarely take an interest in birds at all, though I used to have one that did. They are both keen rodent hunters, though only one goes outside. I do keep them at a safe distance when we have chicks until they get bigger though.

Dan, your decks of cards and other crafts sound really interesting! I too do find I don’t really use a wand, though I’ve made one I don’t really reach for it. Its funny how that kind of thing happens, isn’t it?

Stephanie, its raining right now and I’m currently enjoying the sound on the roof. It does rain here a lot of the year so I try to embrace it, the winters do get very long and grey though. I love the sound at night, but look forward to seeing the sun again. Your practice sounds really lovely, and sounds much like what I do and work toward. One of my goals this year is to make more tools for things like divination and altar work because I want to do more of those.
Your favorites to grow are some of mine too! It has been raining pretty heavily for the last few days, but it is supposed to be clearer next week, so I am hoping to get out and do some spring garden tasks and enjoy the outdoors a little more.

Georgia, thank you for the reply! Albus sounds like a fascinating companion.
Drying and storing things is really satisfying to me, its a nice activity for engaging with in downtime. It can be really tricky to find thorough information about a lot of plants in my area too, so I feel your pain there! There are lots of species introduced here from Europe with lots of info that I have no problems with harvesting and using, but digging into even the plentiful native species can be difficult.
I have never tried red sumac. I do love cider too though! I hope your stomach is well.
Thank you for the link, that sounds really cool. I haven’t ever tried making a statuette before.
I will look for the right place to make a thread sharing some pictures… I did enjoy making my wand, though I don’t use it, making it itself was an enjoyable and reflective ritual. I’ve made some painted tiles.
When I go to the coast, I think I will try collect enough similarly sized smooth stones to make a set of runes.

Colin, thank you, Blessed be!

Hi Jean, nice to meet you. We’re similar with our cats and chickens. 5 dogs though, wow! What sort of dogs are they?
Butterfly pea tea is so fun to watch the tea change colors. We made some at a party a few years back, thanks for the memory

Thanks you all again for the lovely replies, resources and welcome.

p.s. Here’s a photo for cat and chicken tax!
