I’m so sorry I’ve been absent the last month or two. Some really wonderful things have happened and it’s a lot to share, so I’ve been procrastinating. I’m going to sum it up as best as I can. But first, happy International Owl Awareness Day! Owls have become very special and meaningful to me, as some of you know, and I was beyond exciting to see the occasion pop up online. I had no idea there was even such a day!
Ok, in short, my work contract has now gotten extended TWICE!!! The latest extension is through the end of this year. This contract was originally just a few months long, and I absolutely love this job, plus the pay will allow me to save a very robust nest egg…so, I’m THRILLED! And these extensions both happened AFTER I felt a shift inside of me: my longstanding fear/anxiety was starting to abate, AND I was getting better at trusting the universe and feeling peace in the thought that all was working out for my greatest good. I’ve maintained a steady peaceful state of mind (although of course I regress occasionally, then pull myself back together), I’ve visualized and lived in the present almost every day - and it’s WORKING! It’s really working! It’s also SO NICE to be free of the fear that haunted me for YEARS. I definitely have to fight against it at times, but I’ve come really, really far. It’s an enormous relief!
I’ve also been going out and experiencing this area I love dearly solo, since I lost all my friends. That includes taking myself out for lunch or dinner. And guess what? I haven’t felt insecure or self conscious AT ALL because I’m alone!!! Not one teeny, tiny bit. I can’t believe it! And I’ve had such a delightful time with myself during all of my outings, whatever it is I’m doing. I enjoy my own company tremendously and now I know that the work I did on my self esteem all those years ago truly WORKED. I have a new lease on life.
Finally, I’ve had additional animal experiences (in addition to the dolphin sighting I shared here before) that have VERY relevant symbolism for my current situation. For example, for the first time in the nearly 5 years I’ve lived here, I spotted a school of the most adorable stingrays swimming extremely close to the seawall during one of my beloved walks! That in and of itself was so special, but in addition to that, seeing stingrays is a reminder to GO WITH THE FLOW if you’re going through a difficult/uncertain time! How PERFECT is that??? And there’ve been other deeply meaningful animal experiences, as well, but this post is already long enough, LOL.
@Irenebean Happy Wednesday and International Day. I did not know too. It is lovely to hear from you. We all need time and to step back to prioritise events that affect our daily lives be it financially/emotional balance and security as that is so important for us to function in all other areas.
I can sense a significant change in you. Your positivity and excitement is coming out in your words and I am so happy that you have shared this with us.
My Cousin lives on her own in another part of my Country and she is very happy. She decided not to move back to where I live after her divorce as she had made a new life for herself living in a flat and was free to do whatever she wanted. She took a few courses on Reiki and can now practice and is loving life. She is a young 70 years and her positivity is boundless she does more than I do and I am a lot younger.
Your latest sightings are wonderful and are a sign that you are on the right path. Keep looking for signs from nature they can be subtle to.
Yeah, I thought so too! I wish I had the ability to do that sort of thing. But even when I could bake, my decorating level was throwing sprinkles on something.
This is fantastic news! I’m so happy for you - thank you for sharing this with us. You worked hard to get where you are. You deserve to feel your happiness to the fullest!
That’s amazing. I love it.
I didn’t know, either! I love owls, so thank you for this information.
I could make an icing rose, but I couldn’t move it, so I made them directly onto the cake.
Many grocery store bakeries will allow people to design their own cakes. I’d draw a picture. They’d transfer it to the cake and color it in with gels. It was fun while it lasted.
