So I’m thinking about harvesting some lemongrass so I can see if I can get some oil and dry some leaves too
When harvesting, does one typically cut the whole thing back, or just some of it? If you hack it back, does it grow back again?

Mine kept growing, but once I cut a thick stalk at the base, that particular stalk was finished! It grew new stalks closer to the center, IIRC.
I’ve watched a few videos and the general consensus seems to be to cut the thickest stalks you can find from your plant - since of course once you peel off the tough outer leaves there’s not much left that’s tender in the center!
You shouldn’t have to cut back the whole plant to get several good stalks to work with. Since you live in such a warm environment, your plant might keep going year round.

I have just purchased a book called “The Practcing Witch Diary” funny thing is I made my own pdf so I could write a diary of the plants and it’s magickal correspondences to the plant medicine
