Has anyone purchased from Mystic Eden?

I’m very leery of ads that pop up on Facebook, as so often they are scam/spam sites. But I keep seeing ads for gorgeous witchy t-shirts from Mystic Eden http://www.themysticeden.com and I’m so tempted to get something.
They’ve got several themes, including Cottagecore, Witchy and Gods & Goddesses and there appear to be tons of good reviews.
Has anyone had any experience with them before?

Ohhh digging into websites and businesses is my favorite thing to do :joy: give me like 10 minutes and I’ll see what I can find about their business, ethics, and information

Hehehe - well I did see that the items are shipped from the US, which is good for a start.

:triangular_flag_on_post: Their Privacy Policy hasn’t been fully finished. It’s a template that they never filled in completely.

:triangular_flag_on_post: Their Etsy says they’re located in California, but their Terms of Service says they are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

:triangular_flag_on_post: The images have been photoshopped onto the shirts. You can see that in the image below of the Medusa shirt. The text does not follow the curves and folds of the shirt on the model.

Also, based on my experience with images and AI, I can say that most of the designs on the shirts are AI-generated.

I also can’t find information on California’s or New Zealand’s government websites for a business named The Mystic Eden. This is suspicious but not horrible because not every business is registered as an LLC or corporation, so take that for what you will.

Overall, I personally wouldn’t buy from them based on the things I’ve mentioned above.

I mean, yes and no? :woman_shrugging: It’s possible the business is just a dropshiping business. This means that they can be literally anywhere and just order their products from a printer in the US so they’re shipped in the US.

You’re welcome. I know it’s a bummer :people_hugging: it’s hard to find small businesses online these days because of all the other stuff online.

They even have an Etsy store but yes, now you mentioned it, I can tell the designs are AI generated. Still pretty though…

Just want to give a round of applause to Megan - that was some impressive detective work! :female_detective: :sparkles:

(I’m taking notes on how to do this haha :writing_hand:  )

Oh for sure! Don’t get me wrong - AI images are often very pretty and have wonderful designs. I’m personally against the use of AI art for making money, but I know not everyone has that same belief :woman_shrugging: I just thought it was something worth mentioning just in case

Aww thanks  doing this kind of thing is fun for me! And if you ever have any questions about how to find this information, just let me know and I can help out!

I have bought a few witchy shirts at Spencer’s and Earthbound. They also have online shops.
