Hekate - The goddess I work with

I have always felt a deep pull to the Goddess Hekate, even before I was able to admit that I was pagan, and connected to witchcraft. I was raised Catholic so the fear in me was strong to go against it. But, how thankful I am, that I overcame my fears…this path I have chosen has helped me in more ways than I care to admit.

She is the keeper of thresholds, of in-between spaces, of shadow and light coexisting, and that resonates so deeply with the parts of me that also lived in-between spaces, and the parts of me that transformed…the uncertainty I walked and the rebirth of myself.

I connect to her as a guide—she is the one who honors intuition, inner knowing, and the quiet power of standing at your own crossroads and choosing your path. I have had many crossroads in my life…and she was always there with her torch to show me the light.

There’s something incredibly comforting in her presence… like being seen fully, even in the dark, and still being guided forward by a steady, sacred flame.

What gods or goddesses to you connect with?

I am also a big fan of Ganesha. The remover of obstacles. I also look for his guidance when there are obstacles in my way. I also have a different mindset…when obstacles come at me…I don’t look at them like, “Why is this happening to me!?” I look at them like, “What can I learn from this lesson?”

When you change your mindset and start thinking this way…it causes A LOT LESS stress in your life.

Many blessings to you all.

I feel very connected to Gaia. She is my patron goddess. I wrap my practice around her. But I have also felt called to study Brigid, The Morrigan, Nyx, Lilith, Hekate, and the entire Norse pantheon.

I never was connected to just one Goddess. I would call upon different Goddess depending what spells I was working on. But, recently Lilith has been in my dreams alot and I feel a pull toward her. I have been reading and learning alot about her. I kinda shied away from her, Hekate, and Morrigan(I use to call them the darker Goddess’s). I was raised Catholic and as a child I learned that Lilith was not someone you wanted to deal with. . but, NOW she has drawn me in. She fits with who I have become(a strong independent woman that doesnt conform with what she is told to be).
