Hello, I’m Audra from Arkansas. I’m so grateful to have found this forum! I began my current spiritual practice just a few months ago am so glad to have a way to meet you and learn from you ![]()
I very drawn to herbs and candle work, and have mainly focused on meditations and centering/balancing work, as opposed to any real “spell” work thus far. Although, I’ve already felt powerful shifts in my life that have me very inspired to continue on! Trying to learn and expand without overwhelming myself or being too focused on making it “perfect.”
I have a great local metaphysical shop that’s an awesome resource, but practice independently, so thanks so much for sharing your experiences and wisdom.
Welcome, @audra1 and Merry Meet! We’re so glad you decided to join us! I’m Feathertip, from SE Michigan. I’m a lifelong Pagan - I love to work with Nature and stay close to all her critters. I grow and work with herbs, practice Yogic meditation and use Lenormand cards for divination.
You’re very wise to follow what you’re drawn to, and what feels right. The fact that you’re already feeling this shift tells you that you’re on the right path. ![]()
Take your time while exploring! This site is huge, so don’t hesitate to ask questions about anything. Everyone’s journey is different, and we support each other.
I’m looking forward to seeing you around the forum and getting to know you better. Enjoy your journey, lovely!

Greetings from New Mexico!
Welcome @audra1 !
Fantastic Friday Audra,
Greetings from Vegas, Baby, Vegas. Your progress so far is absolutely perfect!! Go at your own pace. All of us are different and there is no specific time frame to do or know anything. Just go as you feel moved to. I started my practice very, very simply. I started making sun and moon water, and drinking it daily. I pour water into my jar with an amethyst for sun water and a moonstone for moon water. I thank the goddess as I pour the water (I speak with Danu) and ask the sun (Brigid) to put her “superb, sensational sunbeams” into my water, or the moon (Hanwi) for the “magnificent moonbeams” into my water. Sun water, on the window sill all day, moonwater, same sill overnight. I remove the jar as I thank the ladies for my water, and I ask Tiamat to use the water for restoring my body (sun/amethyst for reconnecting the synapses in my brain, TBI and coma) and I ask her to use the moonwater to repair my liver (accident, TBI, coma). I did not tell anyone what I was doing, but within about 4 months, the people at bingo started to say that I was looking better and healthier. And even my doctor said many of my test parameters were MUCH better. Dr. thinks it’s vitamins….I let him believe what he wants…it’s the water!! So, that is how I started as I was reading and learning all that I could.
Welcome to our group!!! We have daily Tarot, Lenormand, and Rune practices if you care to look and/or join in. These “dailies” help us in learning each divination system.
You will be able to find like-minded people in whatever area calls your attention.
Many of us are “returning” witches; after spending many years raising our families, many of us have returned to this calling. What I am trying to say is that many of us have been “practicing” the craft intuitively before finding out that it is witchcraft. And now, we are embracing it openly.
Lady Gene

Merry Meet Audral
I just wanted to welcome you.
Practicing what you are drawn to is the right path for you it does not have to be perfect it is how you feel that is important and also going at your own pace.
I am from a small village in Lancashire, England.
I am a Solitary Eclectic Witch and my divinations are crystals, candle magic, tarot, runes, angel numbers, lenormand, tending outdoor, indoor plants and growing herbs & garlic, tomatoes, spell jars, spell bags, sun & moon water, water meditation and home cleansing. I am doing the daily Oracle Cards which is my new go to.
I try to simplify, balance and live intentionally to create a calm, peaceful, relaxing home for my family and two German Shorthair Pointer Dogs and Koi Fish ![]()
Everyone is very supportive, caring and helpful with anything you need it is a wonderful coven to be a part of.
Wishing you blessings ![]()
Hello @audra1 and Merry Meet!
This is beautiful!
Herbs and candles are magical on their own. Lighting a candle or some incense can initiate a moment of awareness and stillness. ![]()
This forum as well as the spells8 website is filled to the gills with information! There are some amazing courses you can do, lovely printables for your Grimoire or Book of Shadows and if you have questions about certain topics, chances are that there´s already a thread in the forum with information!
My name is Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my pratice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.
I´m looking forward to seeing you around the forum!
Brightest blessings! ![]()
Merry Meet! thank you, Feathertip

That’s amazing! And so inspirational. the power of our intuition and faith and the guidance from the universe is truly transformative. I’m so glad you are healing your body and mind ![]()
I’ve been slowly learning to use Tarot and runes as part of my daily practice so thank you for mentioning the dailies. I’m going to look for them.
thanks so much for your encouragement ![]()
Hi Moonbeam, Merry Meet! I am also learning to slooowwww down and find balance and calm in daily life, after living at a hectic and anxious pace for years. I still catch myself
but finding this practice has really changed my daily life for the better. Blessings and thank you for saying hello ![]()
Merry Meet! That’s beautiful that your practice and your art commingle
making my altar has been one of my favorite things over the last couple of months- it’s so rewarding makes me feel like a conversation is happening all the time between the Divine and me
thank you for saying hello!
Welcome!
Meditation can become spell work if you like. I do it a lot and there are many references. The book I like for basic knowledge of what to do is “Spellcraft and Spellwork” by Carrasca, Ariana. There are also TONS of articles here that might help.
I’m Dan and I study belief systems. My path falls loosely under the Chaos Umbrella.
Jump in and enjoy!
Thank you for your lovely reply.
I hope you find your own ways to slow down. Listen to yourself. I do water meditation in the shower and try to incorporate rituals in my daily life to keep myself grounded.
Blessings ![]()
Hi, @audra1! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! ![]()
I’m an Eclectic Witch who likes candle magic and chants. But don’t discount doing meditation and shadow work, that’s magic too! There’s a special kind of magic in knowing yourself. I have a difficult time meditating, so it’s a grass is greener on the other side thing.
I do envy your local shop! Amazon is nice, but it’s not the same! Nice to meet you!

So lovely that you found your way here and it sounds like you’re approaching your path with such wisdom already. Focusing on meditation, centering, and balance first is honestly such a strong foundation. Real magic begins in awareness and intention long before it shows up in candles and spell jars.
I’m Stephanie or as I’m known here, Eira of the Living Hearth, an eclectic witch from California. My practice leans into hearth craft, green witchcraft, and divination: tarot, runes, oracle, and Lenormand. I also love ancestry work, shadow work, kitchen magic, learning to garden, making soaps and candles, and creating oracle or tarot decks (a newer passion of mine). A lot of what I do is simple, home-based magic woven into daily life and self-care.
It’s beautiful that you’re already noticing shifts, that’s often how the path encourages us forward. And you’re absolutely right not to chase perfection. The craft unfolds best when we move at a pace that feels grounded and sustainable to ourselves.
So glad you’re here with us. Looking forward to learning alongside you!
Blessed Be!
