My name is Sage and I live in Colorado. I am pretty new to the Witchcraft journey, but have always known or have been interested in anything witchy. I grew up in a very religious family (Catholics and Methodists) and none accept witchcraft at all. Unfortunately, I am not able to practice my craft like I want to as I still live with my very religious mother, but I am still learning things and researching as that is always the first step to things!
I identify as an eclectic, but I am super interested in divination and moon magic the most. My first deity that reached out was Hekate and now I have had confirmations that FOUR other lovely goddesses want to work with me! The lovely Persephone, Medusa, Nyx and Lilith. So I am working on forming a schedule to work all 5 beautiful ladies into my life and how to grow a connection with all of them even when I can’t physically worship them currently.
I can’t wait to continue learning and meeting other people in the community!
Hello and welcome I’m Tracy from England Loki is my patron deity I practice Nordic Traditional and Runic Witchcraft. Lovely to meet you. Looking forward to getting to know you.
Welcome @Lunar_Witch ! I’m glad you have joined us! I’m from Minnesota and have been practicing many different aspects of the craft for 35+ years. I current work with chaos magick, voodoo and divination.
This is a great place for learning, growing and making new friends. If you have questions don’t hesitate to ask. There is always someone available to guide you.
Thank you so much! I bet Loki is a fun deity to have with you. I’m currently trying to learn about the deities in the Norse pantheon, but I do love Loki from the Avengers series lol
My name is Kat, and I’ve been practicing the craft for over 30 years. My practice is rooted in a blend of nature magick, green magick, and elements of hedgecraft. I work closely with the natural world, drawing inspiration from plant spirits, animal spirits, and liminal spaces. My interests include herbalism, gardening, and divinatory practices like tarot, throwing bones, and Lenormand.
There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!
We’re glad to have you here. Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!
Wow that’s amazing! I have heard about chaos magic, but haven’t learned about it yet. I am so excited to be a part of this community and learn so much!
Hint: if you want to respond to several people and avoid the 5 minute break, type the @ sign. A list of people pops up. If it doesn’t show your party, type the first couple of letters. That way, you can talk to several people at once!
Hi, @Lunar_Witch! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum!
I’m glad you’ve found us! I’m sorry you’re having to be in the broom closet. I was lucky, despite being Methodist my Mom accepted and encouraged my witchy beliefs. I only wish you were so lucky.
Don’t forget that there is a Virtual Altar on site that may help you with your practice! You can also get some headphones and do meditations and listen to witchy videos on YouTube and podcasts from other places.
I hope this gives you some ideas. It’s nice to meet you!
@Amethyst Thank you so much for giving this to me! I will definitely use this altar as I’ve been trying to figure out what i was going to do about that.
Its so nice to meet you and I’m so glad i found this community. I wish my mom could be understanding, but its okay, I’m learning ways on how to be my best witchy self without any conflict. I’m so happy your mom accepted your beliefs and supports you! Thats amazing
We are so excited to have you here! You are going to have an amazing time learning and growing with this crew! Feel free to jump in and ask questions and read… read… read… the journey is the best part!
I grew up Catholic and still hold a lot of that dear to my heart. It has been really amazing to see how I can meld the pieces of both my identities together.
I have been meditating for a long time but just recently decided to expand to belief systems under the rather big Chaos umbrella. I found this place a short while ago and have been hooked a bit. Like you, I have friends and relatives who are traditional Christians but they are also willing to discuss (not argue) and that is good. To make my life easier, I don’t proselytize but, nicely, they don’t either.
I hope you can find what you are looking for here. It is a great place with tons of information and a very supportive community.
