I meant to properly introduce myself before, but im a mom of 3 with one kiddo being on the spectrum, we are busy. But im still learning/trying to relearn who i am!!! Im open to any advice and spiritual guidance
Hi, @lashawna! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! ![]()
Wow, little ones do make things busy! Tell us a bit about yourself, what kind of magic are you interested in? I like candle magic and chants.
As for learning about yourself, meditation is a good choice if you have the time and the quiet available. So yeah, not sure if that would be possible for you. But even five minutes of hiding in the bathroom with your headphones on while deep breathing can help!
Tarot might be good for you, too! It’s less of a way to see into the future, as to figure out what’s inside of you. In a way. But the site has Courses for both of those topics, so if you have time, you should check them out!
Good luck! I’m looking forward to getting to know you!
Merry Meet, Lashawna! ![]()

I’m really glad you shared this — and truly, welcome. Being a mom of three, especially while supporting children on the spectrum, is a full life all on its own. It makes so much sense that your own sense of self is something you’re gently trying to rediscover. ![]()
I’m Stephanie or Eira of the Living Hearth, an eclectic witch from California, and I want you to know there is no rush here and no single “right” way to do this work. This community is a beautiful place to take small, meaningful steps — to ask questions, explore what resonates, and reconnect with you at a pace that honors your reality.
Spiritual growth doesn’t have to be elaborate or time-consuming. Sometimes it’s quiet, patient, and woven into everyday moments — a breath, a candle, a thought held gently before sleep. You’re not alone in this. Many of us are learning who we are again after years of caring for others.
Please feel free to share, ask, or simply sit with us when you need to. You’re very welcome here. ![]()
Blessed Be.

Hi! I’m Dan. Welcome to Spells8!
For basic advice, you might like to start with the courses. Find something that intrigues you and dive into it.
I study belief systems and I arrived on that path in a circuitous way. I stumbled onto Chaos theory and after a bit of exploration, decided there was something there for me. We are all a bit different, so you may find something else. It is all good.
Jump in and enjoy!
Greetings @lashawna and welcome!
My name is Kat, and I started practicing the craft in 1993. I lost my way for a time but returned to magick in 2018. My practice is rooted in nature magick with a bioregional focus, working closely with the natural world and drawing inspiration from plant and animal spirits.
I’m especially drawn to herbalism, gardening, and various forms of divination - tarot, throwing bones, kipper and ogham.
There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!
We’re glad to have you here.
Make yourself comfortable, explore at your own pace, and feel free to ask any questions you might have!

Welcome, @lashawna and Merry Meet! You definitely have your hands full - it’s wonderful that you are still seeking spiritual guidance and wanting to learn. You’re in the right place! For now, it may be enough to just keep coming here, look around, join in the discussions and don’t hesitate to ask questions about anything.
Your new Coven is full of kind and caring people, and we’re happy to help you along your journey.
Make small moments for yourself. Do you like being in the kitchen? Even daily routines like meal prep for the kids can be seen as sacred ritual, infused with your spirit and love. Cooking with herbs, caring for houseplants - you may be surprised by how in tune you already are.
Tell us more about what you feel drawn to. There’s no right or wrong way. Blessings!

Hi @lashawna.
First let me say I need to take my own advice. I’ve changed so much in the past six years that I could use a redefining, myself.
When I get serious about redefining myself every few years, I go through what I have written previously. I start by creating a foundation of values. Then I look at previous definitions of who I am to see what still works and what I need to revise. It’s a big job, and I don’t always work through it steadily or quickly. It’s ok to do these kinds of things in fits and starts, whenever there is time.
Hoping for the best for you and your family!
