My name is Tory and I am a new witch. As I am studying, I have come to realize that I have always been drawn to ‘witchy’ things. I have a deep passion for the moon, for tarot and crystals, for nature and divination. That being said, I am new to actually following the path of a witch. I am a seeker of knowledge, so any tips or advice is always welcome. I have looked around the website and am so excited to really dive deeper. Thank you for the warm welcome I am sure to receive.
Merry meet @tory and welcome!
My name is Kat, and I’ve been practicing the craft for over 30 years. My practice is rooted in a blend of nature magick, green magick, and elements of hedgecraft. I work closely with the natural world, drawing inspiration from plant spirits, animal spirits, and liminal spaces. My interests include herbalism and gardening, as well as divinatory practices like tarot, throwing bones and Lenormand.
There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!
We’re glad to have you here. Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the tip, too, and will be sure to use it!
Hello and welcome @tory I’m Amanda from Oklahoma We’re so excited you have joined us
Thank you! I was born in Muskogee! I just love being in Oklahome, I feel so connected to it spiritually!
Hi @tory@ I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum!
It’s great to have you here! I think one of the best things I can advise new witches is that you don’t have to go and buy everything all at once. Or even at all. I barely use my athame, but I use my books and candles a lot.
You can find things from second hand stores that will work. An old letter opener, a pretty wine glass. Things like that which will help you save money for the big thing: books. LOL!
Well, I’m a book hoarder so that’s my thing. You might find that crystals or tarot cards are yours. Just wait a bit and figure yourself out first so you can spend money on what you think is important!
Also, YouTube is your friend. Personally I like The Green Witch, HearthWitch, and our own @MeganB’s Round the Cauldron! But go take a look. I bet you get sucked in!
Have fun and good luck!
@tory welcome. I hope you find this group as fun and welcoming as i have
