My Samhain Experience – A Special Connection to My Nanny ![]()
I wanted to share something that happened on Samhain night because it’s been playing on my mind, and I’d love to hear what others think.
I had my altar set up for my nanny, who I was extremely close to, and I was spending some time manifesting for myself and my two children. My intentions were for peace, protection, releasing anger and negativity, bringing happiness into our home and creating a better, more secure future for us.
While sitting at my altar, I felt a comforting presence. I suddenly had this urge to pick up my tarot cards and start shuffling. As I was shuffling, three cards literally jumped out together:
Ace of Swords
Ten of Pentacles
The Star
I interpreted these as clarity, family, ancestral connections, healing and hope for the future.
I then decided to ask what my nanny wanted me to know, and pulled:
Ace of Swords
Two of Wands
Three of Cups
Ten of Pentacles
What really caught my attention was the Ten of Pentacles appearing again. I’ve only been practising tarot for a while with this deck and this is now the third time I’ve pulled that card.
Every time I see it, I immediately think of my nanny. We were so close, and the card’s connection to family, generations, ancestors and the love passed down through families really resonates with me.
I know everyone interprets tarot differently, but the whole experience felt incredibly comforting. I’m not claiming to know exactly what it means, but it certainly felt like a moment I wanted to pay attention to.
I’m taking it as a reminder to carry the love, strength and memories of my nanny forward, and to build the peaceful, happy home I want for my children.
Has anyone else experienced certain cards repeatedly appearing, particularly when doing readings connected to loved ones who have passed? I’d love to hear your experiences. ![]()
