Hi there, Iām new to this app but not to the Wiccan lifestyle! Iām very much into practicing, learning and creating a green witch home and transforming myself into becoming one with Mother Earth! Incense, crystals, anointed oils, herbs. And daily meditation and along with prayer . These are my main sources and tools I use daily to align with the earth. Spirit cleansing right now along with protection and banishing spells and ritual are on the top of my list since spring cleaning has come .
But what I want to know is how many of my fellow witchy sisters practice, use for self and others. Pendulum magic. I have many friends and family who come to come with yes or no questions seeking guidance from the power of my crystal . Which btw my stone is a amethyst
Feel free to leave protection spells
Cleansing ritual
And other magical items used by yourself!
Hi @paige2 welcome to Spells 8. We are glad you have joined us. Iām Jayne, an eclectic witch originally from the UK, but now living in Texas. My practice leans towards earth and nature magic. I honor the goddess Gaia by feeding the birds and wildlife around our home, and tending my witchās garden. Like you, I aim to be finely attuned with nature and Mother Earth.
Iāve been on my witchcraft journey for about a year and a half now, and I love tarot and runes for divination, but have not yet tried working with a pendulum.
This is a large forum, but feel free to jump into any conversation that interests you and if you have any questions, donāt hesitate to ask.
Hi Paige,
My name is Sharon, and I am new here also. Everybody here has been so sweet and welcomed me with open arms. I am new at learning things as well. If I can help you in any way let me know. And welcome!
Sharon
Welcome, @paige2 and Merry Meet! Iām Feathertip, from SE Michigan.
It seems as if you are already well underway with your practice - good for you!
I personally do not practice pendulum magic. As a lifelong Pagan, I work with Nature, and growing and working with herbs. I practice Yogic meditation and use Lenormand cards for divination.
Thereās a great search function here to help you find information on various methods and studies, so you may find more about pendulum magic. The site is huge, so donāt hesitate to ask questions about anything.
I“m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I“m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my pratice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.
I do use pendulums, but not as much for divination as for detecting and balancing energies in buildings, but also human and pet friends.
The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything. The people here are very sweet and helpful, so just make yourself known if there“s any questions, someone will certainly show up to help you.
Hi, @paige2! Iām Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum!
I like the pick of your favorite crystal! Amethyst is a great choice! LOL! Iām an Eclectic Witch who is into crystals, candle magic, and chants. Iām not good at meditation, though, or growing things. I have a bit of a black thumb, Iām afraid.
Not sure how long Iāve been practicing. See, I got into Wicca and magic at the turn of the century, and then while I believed I didnāt do much thanks to RL kicking me in the bum. But Iāve been active and practicing here for, oh gosh, six years? This forum and the lovely people here have helped me grow into my witchyness. Iām forever grateful I joined this coven!
Iām not very good at pendulums, either. I have a hand tremor, and while itās not bad, it throws me off. I know there are pendulum holders, but I havenāt gotten into that yet. It just doesnāt feel right to me. So I tip my hat to you for being able to do it!
As for protection spells, I have a vinegar cleanser that I make with rosemary, lemon, and salt that cleans very well and gets rid of most icky things.
Anyhow, Iām glad youāve joined up! Iām looking forward to learning with you and getting to know you!
Merry meet! Iām also new here, and feel like Iāve just scratched the surface of all the site and forum has to offer
these are my main practices, too. Iām sloowwwwly learning tarot and have found the forum to be very helpful with that. I also did some spring cleaning yesterday- made my first magick mop water which was very fun and satisfying I used rosemary, orange, and cinnamon, with a bit of essential oil.
I havenāt tried pendulum work, but itās intriguing! Amethyst is such a great one to work with.
Hello sha!
Iām Kristina. Iām from southern Louisiana & I practice Cajun gris gris (gree gree). I have been researching and self taught for the last 6 years.
I also love crystals! I call myself the coonass crystal collector.
For protection I use selenite and black tourmaline pieces. I use double sided tape to keep them above my doors and windows. Works like a charm!
What made you become a witch?
Let us know if you need any help or anything. Iām also new, but the members on the platform made me feel right at home, so just make yourself at home too. Welcome to the platform.
Your friend,
Kristina
I use just a needle and thread for divination with great success.
I am from a small village in Lancashire, England.
I am a Solitary Eclectic/Hedge Witch and my divinations are crystals, candle magic, tarot, runes, angel numbers, lenormand, tending outdoor, indoor plants and growing herbs, garlic, tomatoes, spell jars, spell bags, sun & moon water, water meditation and home cleansing. I am doing the daily Oracle Cards which is my new go to. I am experimenting with making my own spells which is both exciting and rewarding.
I try to simplify, balance and live intentionally to create a calm, peaceful, relaxing home for my family and two German Shorthair Pointer Dogs. Millie & Bronte and our Koi Fish. I also practice slow living.
Everyone is very supportive, caring and helpful with anything you need it is a wonderful coven to be a part of.
Welcome to the forum! Iām Bry, an Eclectic Witch and one of the moderators. Just wanted to stop by and say hi, itās very nice to meet you
I donāt currently work with pendulums in my practice, but I do love divination! My favorite methods are tarot cards and tea leaf readings. And I share your enthusiasm for crystals. Amethyst is a lovely stone to work with
Please make yourself at home here, Paige! Know that you are warmly welcome to jump into any open discussions that call to you. Iām looking forward to chatting with you more around the forum.
I have not done much with pendulums as tools, though I have sensed the energy within and used it in my youth to good ends. In my old age I have lost track of much of my sensitivity. Lately, hints have been showing up that I could use a pendulum to regain some of that. I plan on getting to some more as soon as RL calms down a bit to allow me to get more done.
I have used a mirror dome for protection when Iām out and about and donāt want to be bothered. My fave is to cover my door and parts of the walls on either side with pink light to hide my apartment when I donāt want to be found. I simply have to remember to pink out my phone number and emails, too!
Iāve been having difficulty rousing the energy for cleansing rituals ever since I contracted long Covid a couple years ago. It seems like I do a little, physically, and it sets me back a couple of days. Not good. Worst of all is knowing it comes back with every flu symptom.
What are your favorite spells? Iām looking forward to learning from and with you!
I use pendulums, but only occasionally (I do carry one in my purseā¦you know, emergencies )
Welcome and so glad you decided to be a part of our āpackā . Other than being a child and playing with Ouija boardsā¦.I really am not āfluentā in divination. I have been working hard with the Tarot for over a year, and picked up Lenormand about 6 months ago.
I wish you great success with being a green witch, I wish I could, (long story), but I firmly believe in the power of the spoken word (and I am a published poet). I participate in the daily Tarot and Lenormand pulls, and sometimes go with Runes or Collective Pulls.
It seems you are drawn to divination, so, please, check these other topics too!
Blessings to all and welcome Paige! I am Shanna. I am a mother of three based in Mid-Michigan. There has always been a deeper resonance to the world around me, whispers in the wind and the pulse of the earth beneath my feet. But, I am just now officially stepping onto this path.
My journey lately has been guided by Tarot, though Iāve also begun to dip my toes into some spell work. My next venture is to craft protection jars, and I am so excited for the upcoming New Moon. I am headed out of town Friday so I get to spend it with my little brother ādoing witchy shitā as he puts it!! I am so grateful for the abundance of magic shared in this space and look forward to learning from all of you as I make my way along my magickal path.
