Himalayan Crystal Salt Stones

Hi! I wanted to see if any of you have ever used Himalayan Crystal Salt Stones (example here: https://www.amazon.com/Original-Himalayan-Crystal-Salt-Stones/dp/B087YTGTFH) to cast your circle or in your practice for other uses? I want to use salt when casting a circle, however, I wanted to keep the mess to minimum and channel the energy from the salt stones. I also wanted to use the salt stones in the corner of the home to facilitate positive energies. I’d love to hear your thoughts/ideas/perspective on it! Thank you.

Hii @hira I usually use sea salt crystals for sacred rituals and spells or casting circles! You know placing Himalayan salt stones in the corners of your house is greaat for protection purposes and obviously facilitating positivity!! I really second this idea and suggest you go ahead with this!! I have Himalayan Pink salt at home that I use too sometimes but because it is mainly for cooking purposes so my mom doesn’t let me touch it often! You, however, should go with it!! This will enhance your house with lots of positive energy! Blessed be! :sparkling_heart:

Thank you @Solasta_Amore ! I appreciate by your feedback. I will go ahead and use it. Also, is there anyone who has used a sacred circle sheet to sit on while casting spells? I was having a difficult time with the circle so I thought maybe getting a sheet and sitting on it would help make it my own sacred space. That way I can also take it with me if I’m out vacationing or not right by my alter. Thoughts?

I’ve never used those but I think that’s a great alternative to using salt to cast a circle. It’s even great for casting circles outside! Salt should never be used to cast circles outside, but these salt stones are a great alternative.

I’ve never done this but I think this is a really good idea! I’d say try it out and see what happens. Maybe it’ll work well for you or maybe it won’t, but you’ll never know unless you try.

Hi @hira,

I use Himalayan Salt candle holders- they are awesome! When you put a candle in, they give off a very warm and loving glow. They feel to me like the salt equivalent of a rose quartz (and are much cheaper than rose quartz candle holders haha).

Additionally, you’re right about the salt having cleansing and purifying properties. I think it would be great to add them into/use them to make your casting circle!

Just a friendly heads up though- authentic salt draws moisture from the air. This isn’t a problem if you live in a dry climate, but if you live somewhere with high humidity, be prepared for leaky salt. You might want to put a try underneath them to avoid the salt puddles :sweat_drops:

Wishing you all the best with your himalayan salt! It’s a great thing to add into the practice and I hope you’re able to find some fun and creative ways to use yours. Blessed be!

Well, the main reason salt shouldn’t be used on the ground outside is that it destroys the plantlife and can seriously throw off the ecosystem. If you end up with too much salt in the same place you can kill the grass, for example, and it makes it almost impossible for anything to grow there again.

I use it either in lamp form or regular salt form to cleanse my crystals. I know the lamp has to be warm before charging and you’d want to leave your stones on or near the lamp for approx 15 hours. For the regular salt type, pour some in a bowl and place your stones, in the salt and you want to cover them. This also works for cleansing jewelry and other items that you use in your craft.
