3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. hot cocoa mix (from about 4 [1.38-oz.] packets)
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
Whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and holiday sprinkles, for serving (optional)
Oreos, graham crackers, shortbread cookies, peppermint sandwich cookies, and/or whole strawberries, for dipping.
Directions:
In the large bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese and Marshmallow Fluff on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
Add hot cocoa mix, cream, and cocoa powder and beat on low speed until just combined, 1 to 2 minutes. Increase speed to medium-high and continue to beat until dip is smooth and cocoa mix has fully dissolved, 2 to 3 minutes.
Transfer dip to a serving bowl. Top with whipped cream, marshmallows, and sprinkles (if using). Serve with cookies alongside.
Serious question: what if you used like a ruffles potato chip to dip? Is it a strong enough chip for that? Do we think the salt will pair well with the cocoa flavor?
It does, doesn’t it? Nice and creamy and chocolatey! Yum!
I’ve not made it, but it depends I think on the brand of potato chip. And you know, whether or not you like chocolate and potato together. I say go for it at the very least! You never know!
